He's saying that while your finance has been turned down for a visa once because paperwork was incomplete if you send in a wage slip, rent statement and proof you've seen her he'll send it through and you won't have to bother appealing (which is far more time consuming and expensive on both sides).

If you can get a recent picture of her and you together and the documentation you'll be fine.

Your immigration officer sounds nice. At least they gave you a chance to fix the error before closing your file and forcing you to appeal.

It sounds as though your friend lives in eastern europe.Their is more to the refusal than you know.Your paperwork was incorrect and you must show a genuine attempt that you have been in contact for a while,by way of E mails and tel calls etc.You will also need pictures of you both together. She may be a low wage earner as they usually are and you must prove that you can sustain her on her visit.I can tell you for sure you will have to reapply for the Visa and pay the fees appliocable. But be sure that you have the proper documentation and she can prove that she will return to her country.A visa is not an automatic right of entry into the Uk and the Immigration offical could question it but rarely do.Our Embassies are very fair and operate under a strict code of conduct. But women come into the Uk never to return. You need to smarten up the whole application and when she applies again you could be with her for moral support only.Consult the relevant Embassy website and follow the recomendations to the letter.I wish you the best of luck but its a hard road you are going down.

D what ever you can to get all the evidence the immigration officer needs, you are not giving up your right to appeal at a later date and the officer sounds like he is trying to give you a reasonable go at avoiding any more obstacles.

Give him anything he wants - he can deny it just because he doesn't like you. Send it by registered mail and keep copies. If they finally deny it you have 30 days to request a reconsideration. If they say you are too late, you've got your registered copies.
