I find a lot of truth in the old adage about politics, "if they're not crooked when they get in they will be crooked when they get out." Personally, I believe the problem is only politicians have the connections and inside resources to be elected. I am a high school principal and so often in my profession it is the people outside the profession that makes the decisions for everyone to follow - not really knowing what is best since they are outsiders to the profession. Politicians are too concerned with personal concerns that don't really care to do what is best for the respective states or the U.S. in general. I would love to run, but do not have the finances, resources, or connections to spend my time doing so. The American dream adage, "anyone can become president" is a farce. Show me a normal/average citizen that has become the President in recent times. Wanna help me become president?
