I cashed a $2500 check at Bank of America, which was the bank on the check, and sent $1400 of it to the scammer, who I thought was the "shippers" that would pick up the car I supposedly sold to the scammer. I spent the remaining $1100 on a new car, and now, a few weeks later, I'm realizing that it was a scam. My mom said that if I had deposited the check into an account, then I would be liable for the $2500, and would have to repay the bank. But she said that since I DON'T have an account, and since the bank accepted the check and cashed it for me without an account, then THEY are liable and I'm not. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

My dog is a 4-year-old, male, un-neutered, Jack Russell Mix. He doesn't like my 1-year-old son. Is there anything I can do make him like him? He hasn't bitten or anything, he just growls at him. I've been trying to find him a new home with no luck yet. If there is anything I can do to make it work, I'll do it. Any professional advice for me, besides the obvious? (Get rid of him)

What does everyone think of the woman in Ocean City who had four dead infants in her house...a placenta, 2 unborn fetuses, and a 26 week old infant. The first three were found in a living room trunk, and the 26 week old in a plastic bag, in a vanity, under her bathroom sink. What do you think...did she do it herself, or do you think someone else is at fault?

10 billion year life expectancy. As stars get older, they also get brighter. Our sun is supposedly 40% brighter than it was 4.6 billion years ago. If we go back 3.5 billion years to when life supposedly first started, the sun would have been 25% bright than it is now. The sun being less bright, also means less heat was produced. This less heat would have lowered the temperature of the earth from an average 59 degrees to an average below freezing.
Can anyone explain how life would have started with average temperatures below freezing?

I have a friend who'se 5'11 and she weighs 105 pounds! Could she possibly have an eating disorder? I know shes not bulemic because she never uses the bathroom, but whenever we're at a restaurant she eats a few bites and claims to be full. She drinks only diet soda and never stops talking about her weight. She brags about being skinny, though. Could she have an eating disorder or is she just really skinny?
