I dressed up as Robin Hood once for Halloween, and my father made me take that costume off poste haste, (at the time I couldn't figure out exactly why).
As well one of my Anglican Church buddies hosted a Renaissance fair and was similarly reluctant to change his costume afterwards..
Anyway, I don't think that was anything homosexual, -on both our parts. He was quite a family man but admitted he didn't want to get out of his costume. From it I remember, too, my reluctance at the time, to take them off.
Some women's clothes are gross and I would never wear them, but I think leotards are an exception, because I think they were originally designed for men..
