I wasn't really happy with my name for many years, but I learned of a person who had my name who was really awesome. I have a very unusual name, and I used to want a different name, also tried different spellings when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I feel like I've grown into my name & it suits me. My name is alright.

I did not like my name from a small child and when I ended Up in care there were too many girls with the same name so they called me Jenny the name stuck and when I became a singer that was my name now thats what everybody knows me as.
I must add Jenny was what my mum wanted to call me before my Grandmother objected and got her to change it.

My real name is old-fashioned. I went all the way through school without ever meeting someone with the same name, although I did have relatives with it.
I never did like people abbreviating it, although I do it now.
Would I change it now? No, it is just another part of who I am, and I wouldn't want to lose that.

I don't really care for my first name. I like my middle and last name though. My first name is very old fashioned. But since I've lived so long with it, I don't think I'll change it. Besides, friends have made up some pretty funny nicknames for me!

I'm quite content with my real name, but I also have the one I got when I became a monk "patisallano" which in pali means something like "retirement for the purpose of meditation".
I'm happy with both names, but the names you have is not what makes you happy or unhappy. Both happiness and unhappiness come from within and it is only within yourself you create either of them, and it is all up to you which of them you want to use in daily life.

Actually I don't go by my real name.
My real name is James, I go by Robby. My dad is named James, I think this is why. I've just always been Robby for some reason.
When I worked at Wendy's I had them call me James, very odd.
