Why do people say Christians are "brainwashed"? Brainwashed means to be forced to believe something..do people not understand what Christianity is about?

Christians struggle with faith all the time (just like anyone of any other faith). We're tested constantly, turn from God almost daily, and have trouble staying on the correct path. If we were brainwashed, we would be so blindsighted by everything else that we would never lose faith.

It seems very ignorant to me which is why I have to ask--why do people think religous people are brainwashed?

I've been feeling pregnant for the past 2 months. My last FOR SURE period was around May 27-June 1st. Then, around June 17th I had some very light bleeding for a couple days ( not even enough for a tampon) then I had one day where I gushed blood ( like a heavy flow) and then it was done. I havn't had another period since. Now keep in mind I was taking B/C pills during this time, and had missed a few in May and after the "middle-of-the-month mini-period" I stopped takin them because I was worried i was prego.

Well, I took a couple cheap prego tests at the end of June and Beginning of July and they came back negetive. Then I took a First Response test July 20th and 22nd that came back positive.

The whole reason I took another test was out of no where my stomach practically popped out. Now this is my second pregnancy, and last time i did not show this early which made me worry. It's starting to feel like i'm sleepin on a water balloon when i lay on my stomach.

there are nice ways of complaining, I am never rude, or mean, or argumentative, I never cause a scene and shout at people, but my friend NEVER complains, even if the food is not fit for human consumption!!

in the "middle" of Eve? Was God's name Eden? How did they know that the female reproduction system looked like a tree? How did they know that the "tree of knowledge"(human brain) looked like a tree? My boyfriend and I have been going out for 5 months. I have known him since kindergarten and we have been friends for two years now. He has always been so sweet to me, and has cared for me so much and has always been there to help me with whatever i needed. We never really touched eachother much before, we were both a little bit shy around each other but recently we've been going further. I let him finger me, we made out and he felt me up. He asked if i was okay with this because he didnt want to push me into things i didn't want to do. I told him it was okay but that I have no further intentions besides what we did and that i was uncomfortable with going further, he understood completely because we're both 14 years old. Was that too far to go in the first place? I don't want to seem slutty and I'm trying to make good desicions for the both of us. We've been talking 3-5 hrs on the phone every night and he has always inspired me to be a better person. Was this wrong of us?

On this talk show radio station, this woman has made a career out of ruining weddings. She said first did it when she ruined her ex boyfriend's wedding by stopping the ceremony and telling the bride that he is cheating her. From then on her girlfriends asked for her services for ruining their ex's wedding or best friends wedding for various reasons. This woman has now made a career out of doing this. She explained that all she has to do is buy a good costume and have a getaway driver. When asked about why she choose this career she said it was to save women from making a life long mistake. There was alot of angry callers saying that she was psycho. She simply rebuffed their remarks and said she was proud of the number of weddings she has ruined.

i am totally depressed. is there a book or website for newly married couples? barely married and soooo many problems. i really don't like the stepdaughter (18). the stepson (16) doesn't come around. my new husband said one positive thing that seems to help.... "thank God she moved out before you moved in!!!!"

She calls him and screams and cries about everything.... did this before we were married. She doens't calm down until he gives her money.

It seems like fundamentalist Christians don’t understand there’s more than just your own perception. If people are suffering and you don’t know, they are still suffering. So if you are in Heaven and people are suffering, somehow not knowing and perfect bliss are more important than what is actually happening. I mean, what’s the goddamn point? You spent your entire life trying to make people not sad.

I just found out i have diabetes 2 days ago. The results are not in yet to say what type i have. Im 17 years old and im not overweight, but throughout my family generations people had diabetes such as my uncle, and my great grandfather, etc. Woyuld i have type 1 or type 2? I know they say people over 45 usually have type 2 but is it possible i can have type 2 as well to?
