Do you think Hillary was the 'brains' behind Billy's Presidency? I just read a book that indicates this. The title is: "Inside The White House" by Ronald Kessler.

YES, Yes & yes. She was the backbone. From the very begining it was 8 for him and 8 for her, no matter what.

I think she was a pretty typical first lady, except for her education level. Compared to Lady Bird Johnson, Eleanor Roosevelt and Nancy Regan she didn't do much more than them. I agree that Bill and Hillary had some pretty serious conversations, and that she lent him a hand here and there with her opinions and such, but no more that any other of the more active and intelligent first ladies did in the recent past.

The background and unspoken role of First Lady has changed a bit in the last 100 years, and I think, for the better.

I think it was a joint venture. I’m sure they made a plan for his presidency which was to be followed by a Hillary presidency some years later.
I’m also sure that she had a huge influence on Bill because she is a very intelligent woman, and I’m saying this even though I don’t support her effort to become the next president of the US. Likewise I’m sure Hillary listens to Bill during the campaign because he has a much broader appeal than her and she has to find a way to come of as more charming which is a lot of bollocks.

No, Bill is a liberal but compared to hillary he's down right conservative. If hillary gets in we'll see the most left wing presidency in history followed by a crippling recession and a weak stance on terror.

I think they're both very intelligent. Bill C. was a Rhodes Scholar and that's not an easy thing to accomplish. ( I think he went to Oxford, too) Hillary is very intelligent, and I thought she presented herself quite well on the Democratic Debate the other night. I don't know who I'm voting for yet...Hillary or Obama. It's still pretty early.

I don't know if she was the "brains" behind Bill Clinton's presidency, but since she's a very intelligent woman, I'll bet her and Bill had alot of good discussions about things. And I'll bet he relied on her opinions alot too.

I believe so! I think she is a very intelligent woman, although I'm not sure if I'll vote for her. I'm very carefully trying to give each candidate my full attention so this country can start getting respect other than being ridiculed.

No, I think she used her position to test the waters for her agenda, but I think Bill worked more with his advisers, due to the weakness on his part follow the polls.

No. I think President Clinton was much more intelligent than his wife, and, sadly, more honest.
