Company "badge flipped" employees, as of a certain date they no longer work with the former company, but instead work for the new company. In the agreement with the new company, some people will be kept on for a short transiiton period at the end of which they will receive severance specified under the original company's plan. However, if an employee doesn't want to go to the new company they receive no severance. But the original company is technically ending the person's employment, even if they are providing a new job. Is this legal?

I am too afraid you are one of those about whom God the Exalted says: They neglected their prayers and followed their worldly desires. They will certainly be lost.

If this world makes you in such a manner, while you are attaining such an age, enjoying such a deep-rooted knowledge, and being so near of death, how can then a juvenile be saved (against the worldly pleasures), while he is ignorant, weak-minded, and brainless?

I am a 16 year old male who has been bulimic for about 4 years. I have decided to stop, but now, whenever I eat, even a little bit, my stomach becomes extremely hard and bloated for hours and hours. I even wake up the next morning with a bloated stomach, and I haven't even eaten past five p.m. the previous night. I started exercising, which helped, but even then, my stomach gets bloated no matter how little I eat or drink. Can someone help me with this problem, should I keep exercising, as it has only been three weeks...What else can I do to stop this bloating and hard stomach problem?? I run for about 45 minutes, and swim for 30...4-5 times aweek.

There was an earthquake in Japan this morning which caused damage to a nuclear power plant there. The Associated Press article included this statement:

"The quake triggered a fire in an electrical transformer and also caused a leak of radioactive water at the Kashiwazaki Kariwa nuclear power plant, the world's largest in terms of electricity output.

The leak was not announced until the evening, many hours after the quake. That fed fresh concerns about the safety of Japan's 55 nuclear reactors, which supply 30 percent of the quake-prone country's electricity and have suffered a long string of accidents and cover-ups."

I've noticed a number of posts here and comments elsewhere saying the only answer to global warming is nuclear power. But to me that seems like leaping from the frying pan into the fire. Have people already forgotten Chernobyl and Three Mile Island? Everyone says "It's safer now." Then what happened in Japan?
