I am a 16 year old male who has been bulimic for about 4 years. I have decided to stop, but now, whenever I eat, even a little bit, my stomach becomes extremely hard and bloated for hours and hours. I even wake up the next morning with a bloated stomach, and I haven't even eaten past five p.m. the previous night. I started exercising, which helped, but even then, my stomach gets bloated no matter how little I eat or drink. Can someone help me with this problem, should I keep exercising, as it has only been three weeks...What else can I do to stop this bloating and hard stomach problem?? I run for about 45 minutes, and swim for 30...4-5 times aweek.

I'm think you body just isn't used to digesting all these food so what I guess may be happening is that when you eat food it's taking it longer to digest just because it hasn't been doing much recently. I mean everyone gets a bloated stomach after eating it's natural there's food in there now. I would say don't worry about your body is just adjusting. Don't get concerned and think you're eating too much your body will repair itself don't worry.

it's going to take time for your digestive organs to get back to normal. After many years of abuse you can't expect everything to work normally. First off I suggest you take Two digestive enzyme capsule with every meal. This is going to help put back the natural enzymes into the stomach that have been depleted by the bulimia.

Second is to start taking Metamucil powder, 1tsp. first thing in the morning with the large glass of water and last thing at night. This is going to help stop the bloating and discomfort that you feel.

Remember it's going to take time to get a balance in your body, but it definitely can be done.
