Nope. Fear only gets in the way of understanding. Mistakes are a road to learning.
As long as you don't lean on it too heavily incomplete knowledge can be a scaffold to less incomplete knowledge and so forth.
Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever get to any real solid truths, at least we haven't so far.
Its that damn Einstein guy, when he exploded the myth of 'hard' sciences by disproving Newton, he left a huge gaping hole in the concept of certainty.
Quantum physics have dug it out even deeper. Knowledge is a bottomless pit.

God has said in the Scriptures: My ways are not your ways, and my thoughts are not your thoughts. My ways are higher than yours.
All knowledge we gain as humans is quasi-knowledge. When we divorce it from God's Word it's dangerous quasi-knowledge. When we try to follow after God in his thoughts through His Word, we are much safer.
