Do you recommend Glock 23?

Hi guys,

I am imagining myself as an owner of a liquer store, and I need a good defense side arm.

What would be your choice of the handgun?

My choice would be a Glock 23, which fires .40 S&W rounds. But first of all, does this round fire as accurate as 9mm?

I want to hear your experiences, and opinions.

The reason for choosing the Glock 23 is the .40 caliber has good balance between the recoil and size. Also, Glocks have very good reputation of being excellently reliable and accurate.

Do you recommend anything else?

Or should I stick to the Glock 23?

Any of your opinions are welcomed.

Who's the actress in "A League Of Their Own" who plays the Saskatchewan ballplayer?

I'm watching League right now and I remember when I first saw it in the theatre that one of the ballplayers, one of the background actresses with a speaking role, said she was from Saskatchewan and when the season was over she was in the locker room complaining about returning to winters in Saskatchewan. I know there was a woman from Wilcox, Saskatchewan who was in the league but I'm wondering what the name of the character in the movie was and the name of the actress. Tried looking up the quotes in IMDB but they're not there. Help!

What causes noise in pipes and how do you fix it?

Very recently our washer started making a horrible screeching noise when it is filling with hot water. This noise is heard all throughout the house, so we can't wash clothes late at night when others are sleeping. My company also had an institutional coffee maker that made the same noise when it was preparing to brew. The coffee maker was replaced and the new one is silent. What causes this and how can I fix it?

Did you see the latest military poll? Only 35% approve of Bush's handling of the war?

Firstly, thanks to jeeper_peeper321 for finding the link to the poll.

Members of the military are evenly split over whether the Iraq war is a separate military operation, or part of the war on terror. They seem to think troop levels in Iraq are just about right, but we don't have nearly enough in Afghanistan. Another interesting tidbit: While a small majority believes Bush has thier best interests at heart, a clearer majority will take the military leadership over Bush's any day.

What movie is this scene from?

My husband and I both remember this scene from a movie which we thought was Cat People. We watched it in the early 80's. We didnt know each other at the time so when we watched it recently together and that scene wasnt in the movie we were both confused. How could we both remember it the exact same way if it were not in the movie? The scene was an erotic scene in which the the two love makers were one behind the other and he was biting the back of her neck just like a cat would do while mating. We remember it being one of the most sensual erotic scenes we had seen at that time. Does anyone remember this scene?
