Does your Culture have to change in order for you to embrace Christ?

As a Christian I often think people think we must make such drastic change in our life to be able to be a Christian. What changes do you think are necessary. I posted my answer on my site in my devotional and will be moving it to my biog tomorrow. Today is the 12th of June. I would like to hear what others of different faiths and cultures believe both non christian and Christian.

I mean,c'mon nobody really knows the truth, how could we? I'm sure that some of you will disagree "i know in my heart" blah blah blah. Only God knows, assuming there is a "god". Life is short. And what if there was nothing beyond this exsistence? All that time wasted, wondering what if? and why? Bah!

i mean..your life IS YOU...so how can you not take it seriously!

are they saying that accepting the reality of death means nothing you do is any more worthwhile [ultimately speaking] than anything else, and therefor its not worth getting in a lather about anything...because ultimately it will all turn to dust anyway.

Our daughter at one point was a great sleeper, and would sleep through the night. That is no longer the case! For the past month or two she's been waking up every night at least once, typically around 2 or 3am. She wakes up screaming for chocolate milk (which her father has gotten her addicted to), and keeps screaming until she's gotten it. I offer water, but that is quickly rejected. The last few nights she's woken up wanting to get up and play at 3am, and takes a good half an hr to an hr to settle back down. The only way to get her to fall back asleep is to give her a sippy cup full of chocolate milk. I'm getting to be pretty cranky in the morning when it's time to get up and go to work as I'm just exhausted, and I'd really like for this to stop. I just dont think it's a good idea to 'give in' and get her in the habit of having milk in the middle of the night but my husband doesnt think it's a big deal to give her milk... and she DOES go to sleep after. Should we try something else?

I am thinking about upgrading from a Pentium D 3.0Ghz, to an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600. I just want to know if upgrading my MOBO is necessary. The MOBO came with a customized PC from Dell (XPS 400). I'm assuming since the Pentium D is dual-core, I should be able to upgrade without any problems, but I am a real noob when it comes to this kind of stuff. Please give me your input, thanks!

What can we do to ensure that the next president elected fulfills his promises and supports the issues that he says he supported prior to the election?

Should we - the citizens of the US - have a list of issues that a candidate should have to take a stance on prior to being allowed to run for office as an oath to fulfill if elected? If they lie to the people about these issues, should they be forced to leave office once elected? Wouldn't this make elections a bit more about the issues instead of payoffs?

How soon is too soon to date after divorce? If you've been drifting apart from someone for years, decide to move on and feel excellent about doing it, it's very amicable and you're the happiest you've ever been with no regrets, is it fine to start seeing someone a couple of months later?
