I am applying for jobs. A person who googles my name will see that I gave $100.00 dollars to John Kerry in 2004.

I would prefer that my political affiliation not be so easily found out. I would not like to be denied a job I might have gotten if the guy reviewing my application were not a Bush supporter.
What can be done? Nothing I suppose. It's public record when you give to a campaign. I'm not ashamed of giving to Kerry, just being practical.

It is one thing when the research does not benefit human society; such as the testing of cosmetics on animals. What about when it can save human lives? Heart transplant would not be around if not tested on the dogs first. Various medicines would not be around such as insulin and penicillin. I don't understand why some would be against it even when human lives are saved by it. I will glady see the death of 10 dogs if it can save one human life.

Are animal rights activists against ALL animal research?

The National Weather Service just issued a Tornado Watch for my area. I know what to do in tornadoes, all the safety advice i Could know, I know . But even knowing all this, I just moved to VA, a year ago, and have never been in a tornado. And I am 12, and I am really scared of them. Anyone have any advice to overcome my fears?? And anyone that has ever been in a tornado, like the tornado actually hit where they were, have any stories on what it was like??? I would really appreciate it so if a warning goes out I can be less afraid of what might happen. Thank you so much!

as with many other things, Black people have taken something that was used as a means of exculsion and turned it on its head.

White folks enforced the one drop rule as a way to ensure discourage miscegenation, it kept Black people or even half blacks from owning property, voting, ect. and also ensured that half Blacks would have no claim to freedom.

But now that white people are seeing their birth rate decline along with there percentage of the population suddenly they see the one drop rule as a problem.

Is it because what started out as something that was meant to exclude Black people from society is now being used as something inclusive by Blacks. The evidence of Black people's inculsiveness is evident in the saying that Bill Clinton is Black (despite the fact that he probably has zero drops of Black blood and his administration put more Black people in jail than any other in History)

...even if you consider yourself a swing voter or perhaps a Democrat, there has to be one GOP candidate that you can tolerate the most and you might vote for.

So, who is it, and if you want to explain your choice, go right ahead!

The Bible Deuteronomy 21: 22
If a man guilty of a capital offense is put to death and his body is hung on a tree, you must not leave his body on the tree overnight. Be sure to bury him that same day, because anyone who is hung on a tree is under God's curse.

Blasphemy and sedition were capital offenses.

Peter & apostles.

The Bible 1 Peter 2: 24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

The Bible Acts 5: 29
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew and hanged on a tree.

Paul.

The Bible Galatians 3: 13
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a
curse for us, for it is written: " Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

Relevant verses to the contrary accepted. This is so, in that he was required to bear the sin of the world,as it is written.

Hi All! Does anyone know the relative prospects for landing tenure-track jobs in the fields of History (specifically Early Modern and Modern European) and Philosophy (Ethics and Metaphysics) in U.S. Universities? I love both disciplines and could see spending my life doing either and need to decide which to pursue in grad school. Thanks!
