People fight and wars are started when there is a shortage of resources, either real or perceived. For example, energy, food, land, wealth, etc. Sometimes we don't realize it here in the states where everything you could want is within a mile down the road, but resources are limited.
One way to look at fights over religion is to think of heaven as just another resource. If your enemy eats a steak, that's one less steak that's available to you and your family. If you let someone else's god into heaven, that means there's no room for yours. Heaven is a limited resource - only one monotheistic god can occupy it.
Space in heaven is in such short supply that the only way a strongly religious person can co-exist with other strongly religious persons of different faiths is to consider them completely delusional. There's an obvious loss of respect when people on two sides of an argument think the other side is completely nuts. All of this adds up to an irreconcilable deadlock over whose god is bestest.
Atheists solve this problem by just considering anyone silly enough to fight over a resource that can't be proven to even exist to be a little loopy.

lol! sorry, i found this question a bit funny. All religions have same spiritual message. It is the people who don't understand their significance n fight in the name of religion.

People believe there religon is right but its the radicals who do the fighting and stiring of peoples emotions to cause trouble.
Metaphorically it is like rival footbal gangs fighting in a way.

That's the whole purpose of religion. To divide, enslave and cause conflict. I think the Illuminati set this up millenia ago to facilitate their nefarious agendas.

it is not fighting among religions; but the religious crooks only.
religions never encourage fighting.
religions spread the messages only for better harmonious living among humans.
lack of understanding the true spirit of religious knowledge is one of the cause.
think about animals. they are living their life in nature with good spirit. that is natural.
hence fighting is unnatural among humans for better living.

because they are carnal(man-made) people disagree on their translation of the bible i am a follower of Christ therefore follow no religion only the bible so there can be no fighting for me
