New cell phones with micro parts do not handle water well. If you get distilled water and dismantle the phone as in remove the front and back if possible or at least the battery you could rinse by a dunk in the very pure water. Repeat this with fresh distilled water maybe 3 times. After that let it dry in an air conditioned room in a window in the sun for two or three days. This will probably not work but I have brought back a few electronic submarine duty items by this method.

I Dropped my cell phone in the lake for 10minutes last friday!
Take the battery out and let it dry. It took all day for mine.
Dont push the buttons or the inside will fry.
Leave it for a couple hourse and try again.
you can also use a blowdryer or something like that.
i suggest just leaving it outside in the sun to dry!
good luck!

Yeah I accidently dropped my phone into a porta-potty and had to reach into all the diarrea and piss to get it because I was expecting an important call, worked fine, didn't even have to wash it because water no good for cell phones.
