Aren't they supposed to be public servants instead of money-grubbing criminals?

I just ripped up the carpet in a room of my single story house. I have a 3 foot crawl space under the entire house. The sub floor looks to be some sort of plywood, which is in good shape. So, must I really add some sort of vapor barrier? What are to he consequences if I don't? My house was built in 1941 and it still has the original hardwood floors, with no vapor barrier. What gives? Is this stuff a scam...?

By the way I'll be putting down 3/4 inch walnut...

This Hard Earned Freedom was from the English and other forces. Now we r governing ourselves and we r in the largest working democracy.
We have a succesful secular system now, where, a Sikh prime minister was voted to power by 90% of Hindus and selected by a Christian who is the Head of the ruling Party and was appointed by a Muslim President. Of course Authorization was given by a Hindu Chief Justice, and the elections were conducted under a Hindu who was the Election Commisioner.
Now What do u think as the best thing that happened to this country in the Last 60 years,.......and the last 3 years separately. Also specify the worst.
What do u think we should do to make the country a super power. You r welcome to give elaborate answers.

ok i recently got married so did my ex. My ex and i were still friends but not anymore. My ex got mad 2 weeks ok at me saying that they didn't want to be my friend anymore and pretty much said i wasn't a good friend. Mind you this was after i canceled a luncheon with them. This person is not really my ex just someone i use to deal with. We tried to be friends but it always ends up this way( us not speaking to each other for a few days) it's going on 3 weeks now! I was watching MSNBC when this came over the wire and the conservative genius was (and is still) saying "But But But But... C-C-C-C-C-Clinton?!?"

How in the world are they getting away with this? I know of no other western country where an administration would get away with this much corruption. The American public really need to get their fingers out of their noses and do something about this.
