Do bug zappers kill mosquito's?

They kill a lot more good bugs than they do mosquitoes. I wouldn't recommend one. With your name I'd think you'd want to protect the good bugs including butterflys. Read below: What's wrong with bug zappers?

Because they attract large bugs, they are purposefully designed to explode them so they don't accumulate and become a fire hazard. Exploding bug-fragments drift on the air. People and food nearby may be contaminated by insect-fragments from the zapper.

Put up a bat house , it may take awhile to get them to move in but is the best bug control there is, meanwhile keep the zapper away from your house and keep in clean, use a can of air or an air compresor to dry clean it every day or two. Put a timer on it for morning and dusk, this will save you a electric bill, use bug spray on the bushes and trees and look for standing water even as small as a bottles cap, do your neighbours yard too, that is if they let you, it is a life or death cause, really,

It is easier to repel them than to wait for them to fly into the zapper. I like the Off Power Pad lamp. It clears a pretty good size area for sitting out or BBQing.

It will definitely kill them, but only if they fly into it accidentally, mosquito's aren't attracted to UV or any other light. Although some new research links mosquito's seeking out light for related food sources. RScott

mosquito's are not attracted to light, but co2.use a dryer fabric sheet, rub it on your arme's and leg's ,then put it in your pocket with some of it hanging out.try this it works .
