This Hard Earned Freedom was from the English and other forces. Now we r governing ourselves and we r in the largest working democracy.
We have a succesful secular system now, where, a Sikh prime minister was voted to power by 90% of Hindus and selected by a Christian who is the Head of the ruling Party and was appointed by a Muslim President. Of course Authorization was given by a Hindu Chief Justice, and the elections were conducted under a Hindu who was the Election Commisioner.
Now What do u think as the best thing that happened to this country in the Last 60 years,.......and the last 3 years separately. Also specify the worst.
What do u think we should do to make the country a super power. You r welcome to give elaborate answers.
Should India be Called as Barath only. why and why not?
Have ur say........ Jai Hind.

1.We call it Japan but the people of Japan oficially calls itself Nippon. So I welcome if our country is called Barath in International Arena. After all why should we use British name.

2.Our Iron ore resources are fast depleting due to mindless exports. We are one of the largest producers now, we may well have to import that later.

3.Our culture must be preserved

4.Kashmir, Bengal, Asom should not turn a virtual Pakistan due to terrorism and illegal immigrants

And of course we should become a super power etc..etc..

But our democracy has become meaningless,

God save us

Who says we have attained freedom from Whites when Sonia is rulling the country with a rubber stamp PM & in a few days a rubber stamp Prez.

This is s shame on India.

WE ARE STILL RULED BY WHITES AFTER 60 YEARS.

If you love your country then why you are not able find an Indian to rule & are looking to an Italian Lady.

India has not matyred as Democracy too.

The states are divided on Religion, Language etc by Nehru & we continue to be a divided nation.

This is futher proven by Vote of Shiv Sena to MARATHI MANOOS.

We are Many Nations within India & are completely divided.

Descrimination is wide spread.

Reservation is a kind of Descrimination too.

GROW UP INDIA YOU ARE 60 YEAARS OLD NOW.

Vande Maataram!

FREEDOM...a very good feeling. But, there are lot many other words to counter against this single word...CORRUPTION, BRIBERY, BUREAUCRACY, CASTEISM, TERRORISM, etc.

We Indians have a very poor memory & a great imagination. We can easily forget all the shabby acts of criminals, terrorists & above all politicians; and are still able to paint a very good picture of our country - MERA BHARAT MAHAAN. I really don't understand the public psyche.

Yes, of course, we've made lots of strides in the last 60 years - liberalization & emerging economy, social development & rising living standards, earlier IT jump & now Retail boom, sounds great, isn't it?

But just have a look at all the core issues beneath the 'India Shining' dazzle. What's our population? What's the unemployment rate? How many are below poverty line? What's our literacy rate? How obsolete are our systems - judicial, legislative & parliamentary? What kind of people are ruling us? Why farmers are committing suicide? Why the common man is burdened by tax? Why is there the sourness of casteism, linguism & vote-bank politics?

Questions are many but answers very few...remember...one cannot reach the stars without a strong foothold.

Sixty long years & we still seem to be struggling to come to terms with ground reality. Just have look at all the other former british colonies who gained independance after India -Where are they today??? The answer is obvious, they are already developed economies like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc. Just look where we are??? Where do we stand today??? Where do we want to see ourselves tomorrow???

A few ripples on the surface & the iceberg will break. that's our position as of today. It's my honest appeal to one & all, let us please pledge ourselves to make India (or Bharat for that matter - though I prefer 'Bharat') a true beacon of knowledge to the world!

Just ponder on this thought before you do anything in life -
'Janani Janmabhoomischa Swargaadapi Gariyasi'
Meaning - Just As Our Own Mother; Our Motherland Is Dearer Than Heaven!

Jai Bharat...Jai Bharati...Jai Jawan...Jai Kisan...Jai Hind...!!!

INDIA got her freedom almost 60 years ago..... and I am proud to say an INDIAN. We came a long way from then since. The road of development in this democratic country is astounding and a ROLE MODEL fro all other countries I believe. The GDP is one of the best growth rate in the world. Despite the ONE BILLION population, our government is trying its best to bring peace and harmony to all...... and the result is lower number of poor class. More and more people are working now.

But hte down side is within the politics itself. The POLITICIANS mostly elected are not even properly educated and rule not for the people, but rather for their private interest. The corruption rate is high in cities, and most people depend on cities nowadays. The penetration of electricity is ok...... but that's not in the case of INTERNET PENETRATION.

The road to development is still being laid by each people of this great country. This great country of ancient scholars and kings will shine in its past years has always mesmerised the outside world for centuries. I pray that let it be the same in the forth coming years oh my lord.

JAI HIND..........

Hi.I'm proud to be an Indian. For the past sixty years we have developed a lot.It is very difficult to maintain such a big country with more than 100crores of population, with 6200 castes,1218 languages, 6main divisions,3main religions and so on.So, first we should be proud despite all these things we have achieved a lot. But,it is not enough. We should do more. Each and every citizen should take part in developing our country a super power before 2020.For that we should first eradicate the great and worst problems in our country like untouchability, case separation, acts against female and children,poverty,terrorism,brbery,overpo... and so on.So, we should work hard to eradicate all these things to develpo our nation. JAI HIND!

I highly appreciate your patriotic feelings , yes even I am a proud Indian but feel very sad , because techonology wise we maight have risen - habitwise / attitudewise we are still the same as were 60 yeras back - our women r still suffering , still so much of illitraccy (for VOTE BANK - if people will get education no one would vote for Gunda Raj ), no family planning , middle class has no say and are paying such high taxes for these poor people and their big families and for GHOTALAS of ministers (we are paying such high taxes for comfort of our ministers , for their foriegn travels and swiss bank accounts) and many more such things - we were there where we were sixty years back - earlier it was Gora Raj - now it is Gunda Raj -- it is worse - our youth has to struggle so much for a stable future - what difference in society has been made as so many Indians have travelled abroad - we have learnt all negative - we do not care for our elders , as they grow old we either throw them out or send them to Old Homes - we do not like to look after our children - we either engage ayas or treat our elderlys as servants and leave children with them ... we must be earning a lot but when it comes to pay the RWA membership we try to avoid... yes very recently Madame Mayawati has done a very good thing by making a Brhamin to contest el;ections from a SC constituency and a SC from a high class one ... but may be it was to win elections only ... let us see what happens now.

Can you meet your Ministers easily - they are so called "public servants " - but poor public becomes servant -- we have to stand in ques similar is the case with PAs etc. there is no improvement - nothing for the public only for the VOTE .... but please do not get discouraged , it will change but will take a very long time .. wo subah kabhi to ayegi !

the number of amemdments made to the constitution is more than 60; the preamble said 'we give it to ourselves'; the tragedy and the irony is still a sizable number of population is not literate and how can such a population can understand what it gave itself in 1950.; that was the faulty begining and india is suffereing bcas of that.
