I have a dog that lives me for a 1 year now. I do not have a girlfriend, and I sleep with my dog at night times. Matter of fact we are close. He is very attached to me and so am I.
If you are thinking that I am intimate with my dog, you are wrong.
I just want to know that am I normal? What does this mean? Am I sick?

How do you deal with life and death with no belief that there is something afterward?

If I were an atheist, then I would be absolutely terrified of death and do everything I could to live as long as possible. How on earth do you deal with life having no expectation of something afterward?????

Most complete answer gets best.

I've added UPenn to my college list, but I'm disappointed to report that in order for any pre-college credits to be considered, said credits must be earned through a program in which I'm seeded with other college students. I'm in a program that awards University of DE credits for UofD courses, but the classes are taught exclusively to high schoolers (that's how the program works.) Additionally, these courses substitute my high school courses in math and English, which is another disqualification by UPenn standards.

Is it possible to negotiate this kind of thing? Would the UD credits I earn (or non-credits, possibly) still help my application, or would I be better off taking the standard AP courses/exams? It's a really great program, but I would hate for it to cause problems when I start applying to colleges. Would a college-level program be regarded as highly as an AP course?

I'd appreciate any feedback, esp. from students who've been in similar situations. Thanks~

Below are my symptoms. Do I have a mental illness?

*I have extreme emotions. One minute I'm so irate, the next minute I'm so elated

*I'm angry alot...usually the little things set me off big time, ex. a rude cashier at a grocery store

*I'm lazy and I procrastinate...often putting off very important things.

*I look like a fat ugly slob and I simply don't care. I gained a tremendous amount of weight within the past year or so.

*I lose my temper a lot.

*I have no friends. I live alone, which doesn't bother me, but at times I feel isolated. I don't even know anyone who I can pick up the phone and call and talk about my problems. I never ever socialize. Dealing with people seems like too much work.

*I feel like I accomplished nothing in my life.

*I have had financial problems for most of my adult life. (I'm in my early 30s) I never really had a good job, despite the fact I have two college degrees. I've acquired debt, spent more than I earned, damaged my credit, an

I grew up in a christian family, and for many years I honestly shared their beliefs. One thing I was taught in church was "Who needs to hear the word of God more than those who are without God"? I never viewed encounters with atheists as something to be avoided, but rather as an opportunity to let them hear God's word. If some of them happened to be disrespectful towards my beliefs, that was ok, because Jesus had told me to turn the other cheek, and to love my enemies, and to bless those who curse me. And as a true and faithful servant of the Lord, I made every effort to do exactly what he told me to do.

You shouldn't be telling anyone they don't belong here. You should welcome everyone and see it as an opportunity to witness to them and share God's word. And if someone happens to disrespect you, turn the other cheek.

I'm an atheist now. You'll never get me back. But I haven't forgotten the rules, and I just thought I would remind you of them.
