if the batts are not precut. cut batts to length. use a utility knife ,lay a 2x4 as a strait edge, pressing down on insulation, angle knife 45 degr. push batt between wall studs. avoid gaps top bottom & side to side. cut flush around outlets, and drain pipes. insulate behind all water pipes. avoid compessing insulation the key to a job done well is to make sure the insulation is touching the drywall as best as posible, and there are as few as posible voids

When good gal said "paper side out" she meant out towards the living area. Not out to the outside of the building.

also dont scratch yourself it only makes it worse. and when bathing use cold water not hot or warm. the cold water closes your pores so that the fiberglass will not get into them and continue to itch. if you use warm water or hot water you are going to be in trouble big time. and be not only itching like crazy but feel like your on fire.

Fiberglass is exactly what its name is fibers of material with little peices of glass attached to them. so when fiberglass gets on you if you rub you are only cutting into your skin with each stroke.
