I argue absolutely not.

Machinery easily replaces low-skill labour- seen many times in Japan with rice & tea harvesting. Japan has negligible immigration for low-skill employees- the world's no. 2 economy.

Machinery not only works out to be more efficient and cost-effective in the long-term- the obstacle is the initial capital investment which many employers choose not to make as cheap, disposable labour is more easily attainable at hand.

If employers were to invest in machinery- it would create long-term, sustainable employment and build the manufacturing sector- not to mention the financial sector.

Native populations are not lazy- it is a myth. Simple truth is natives won't work for a crap wage and no rights.
Immigrants are attractive as they are cheap, expendable & are hidden from laws and taxation.

Higher wages= people spending= more robust & sustainable consumer sector= more demand= more manufacturing= more revenue for government= more jobs for all.

Immigrants= unnecessary

I am due to start my period in a few days. Yesterday I was cramping like I was going to start very soon then it stopped, and this morning I had a few spots of dark blood in my underwear and when I wiped there was brown (I guess it was blood). I know brown blood means old blood and ive had it before but I dont think ever BEFORE my period, usually after. Could this mean im pregnant or just wishful thinking?

Hi,

I have a dull kind of ache in the vaginal area (feels like cystitis) but isn't. Last week I had an ultrasound and it all looked normal, I also have blood in the cervix, but had a pap smear last Sep and it was all fine. My doc tried to give me a pap smear last week and I was so tense she could not insert the instrument (I usto have problems like this i.e vaginigismus when I was younger) I also keep getting pelvic pain on the left side and down my leg, has anyone experienced anything like this or have any ideas what it could be? And Im 100% STD free!

Many Thanks:)

My friend just got a used Cingular Blackberry 8800 from a relative. I was going to get it unlocked for him, but I'm wondering if Cingular will have better coverage. He travels outside of the DC area about 8 to 10 times a year. To get all the services he wants (900 to 1000 anytime minutes, Unlimited Email and Internet, Unlimited Text, Nights and weekends) it will cost $72 with T-mobile and $104 with Cingular. The monthly plan charges are not that much of a big deal since this will be his only phone (Who uses house phones anymore? Some people do for faxes but I would just get smartfax.com). COVERAGE!!!! T-Mobile has been a coin toss lately. Sometimes you get the service you require, and then sometimes you get the loud "call fail" tone in your ear. Anybody with an experienced opinion can answer this but prefer to hear from those that have/ have had BOTH services.

Thanks!

NOVICE man

Actually, I just made that term up. We people of the world are spending billions of dollars seeking extra terrestrial life without one shred of evidence that such life actually exists. We so passionately desire to find life out there that we don't have to have proof that it even exists.

It seems to me that as we want something more, we demand less evidence of that something even existing. This is human nature, I think, and it is not unreasonable. Is there an already-in-existence term in psychology that refers to this aspect of human nature?

Hardening is like a callus or like the tough bone fibers that bridge a fracture. Spiritual hardening beings with self-sufficiency, security in one's self, and self-satisfaction. The real danger is that at some point, repeated resistance to God will yield an actual inability to respond, which the Bible describes as a hardened heart. Insensitivity indicates advanced hardening.
Here are some warning signs:

Rebelling and being discontented - suffering or discomfort can create an attitude that blames God.

Rejecting a deserved rebuke - rejecting God's gift makes one's neck stiff and one's heart hard.

Refusing to listen - leads to a loss of spiritual hearing.

Failing to respond - listening to God with no intention of obeying produces an inability to obey.

Today if you hear His voice - harden not your heart!

Sometimes when I meditate I see colours, or sometimes images as clear & sharp as watching a dvd. Sometimes I see people & they 'tell' me things (although not verbally, its like they are 'downloading' the thoughts & feelings from their mind to mine.)
Does anyone else have any experience of this?
Aum, Pangel, BSS...... what do you think?
