My husband was just asked to move to the London office located in Trafalgar Square ( please excuse the spelling) from the U.S.A.. We currently have three cars, a 5 bedroom home and we are able to travel several times throughout the year. I don't want to lose my standard of living too much with this move. What is a nice ( not rediculous) monthly salary for a family of 5? We want to be able to travel around the United Kingdom and France at least one weekend a month. I am concerned about the price for schools also. Speaking of children, I never hear much about children in London, is there much for them to do? I assume there are mother groups in London just like in the U.S.?

I have a 10-15 year old LXI series home stereo receiver that has 4 speaker outputs (2 right, 2 left) and it works well, except sometimes when the volume is low, the left channel speakers go in and out, or simply won't output any sound at all. When I jack the volume up and keep it there, it "clears out" the connection and both sides work, but I can't always do that late at night when I want my music on soft. Is there something wrong with the connections or is it just dirty? I couldn't tell the inside of a receiver from a car engine, so if someone has an answer, I would appreciate a brief explanation on how to access where it is you are talking about.

And why do we associate talking "slang or mispronounced english, " or whatever with talking black? That irritates the crap out of me! What? I have to prove myself, that I'm "down" by acting less educated, changing the way I talk? What do you think?

A turkey was chatting with a bull.


"I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey. "But I just haven't got the energy."


"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.


The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a week, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bull crap might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

We've been out of a romantic relationship for a few years, but we've remained friends. I've been in a happy "new" romantic relationship for a couple of years. Although I've considered it, I just think it's crazy because I know him too well, and I'd be honest about his misgivings that I think a "new" girlfriend should know. What do you think?

i have an onager (kind of catapult) where the variables are supposed to be changed off and so have different affects of where the projectile travels. the first variable is changing the mass of the projectile, it tells me that increasing the mass decreases time and distance travelling. 2nd variable is sling length when having a too short and too long sling the distance and time is decreased but time is increased for a too short sling. 3rd variable is the throwing arm length it shows the longer the arm the longer time and distance. 4th variable is the skein force shows the bigger the skein force the bigger time and distance travelled. Can anyone explain the results given? I am not sure what the results mean when changing each variable. Can someone give me some info on that? Thanks...(Sorry about the confusing writing:P)

I really dont like the taste of the smoke, and I usually take only 1-2 puffs that I dont inhale off of the whole cigarette. Most of the enjoyment comes from just lighting it and watching it smoke. Is anyone else like that?
