Here on Yahoo! there have been many questions and answers saying JW's are a cult. But what, exactly, is a cult? It seems to me that "cult" is misunderstood and misapplied.

JW's do not hide themselves away in mountain retreats, hold women and children hostage, stockpile weapons and then commit mass suicide. JW's are not held in thrall to a charismatic leader. JW's do not have to give hundreds of thousands of dollars/pounds in order to progress up some mystical ladder to "perfection". They are law abiding, honest and decent people. Why then, the accusation?

Please check out the definition of cult and then provide evidence to support the idea that it applies to JW's. If it turns out that they are not a cult, then is there another description that should be applied? I mean something POLITE and ACCURATE. If you claim to be a Christian, please display some true Christian love while you think about the answer to this question.

afther my 7 year old marrage ended up in divorce i got into a new relationship now going on 9 years. so i have not a lot of exprience in bed, my courent boyfirend has been with quite a few partners before me, i feel that i might be compare i would like to try diffrent thing but am affraid to seem stupid. there are so many books out there on how to please your man but how do i know what book is the best. i'm a muslim and i had sort of an arranged marriage because my family is strict and very cultural, its been about two years now that i am maried,the guy is from pakistan. Its been nearly a year since he's *** to UK. At first he was such a sweet guy,he was so kind to me.BUT now evrything has changd,he is very bossy, he wants me to do everything his way, he doesnt want me to work but stay at home and be a housewife. Ive always been the independant type who likes to do things for my self. He says very nasty things to me and is very violent. Ive spoken to my parents but they are not understanding. I thought i had found the right guy, but he is really changed, he has a bad temper all the time. When i speak my mind and stick up for my self he tells me i am a bad wife. when i ask him that we need to talk to sort our marriage problems he says he doesnt want to talk to me becuz i am dumb. i am sick of being treated like this. He doesnt speak to me any more but stil wants me to do things for him

my sister is 28 and still a virgin. she finally found the perfect man.they are in love and are ''waiting'' for marriage. she is christian and he is '' church of christ'' he says she is going to hell because she is a karate instructor,he believes women are not athourity figures in a place of worship. at her karate school she plays christian music so thats considered a place of worship. she has gave in and gone to his church but after getting told time after time she will go to hell she quit going.he refuses to go to her church.she wants so bad to marry him and hopes he can change .could it work if he goes to his own church-and she continue going to hers???or will theyre children be affected by his views????if they have any....or should they break up and go seperate ways???

Or is it something that has to be practiced since childhood in order to work? If it's possible to learn it in 20s, which exercises/stretches, techniques, etc would help in accomplishing this, and how often do they need to be performed?

Okay so i wrote before about my BF that wouldnt tell his mom to leave our house after living there for 9 months! well he finally told her we want our own life without her breathing down our necks like we are little kids! by the way im 24 he is 28. so you see what i mean by me wanting our own life with out her there. its not that i hate or disrespect her its just shes been there long enough and is completley capable of taking care of herself! well anyways back to the reason im writing this... my bf told her he wanted her to try to find her own place she agreed. well since my bf is a little irresponsible he got a d.u.i. after a few drinks. now he cant come up with money to pay for a lawyer so he is letting his MOTHER baby him and pay for the lawyer herself which is 1,200 so instead of telling her to save her $ & he will come up with the $ himself. he is letting her pay... to be continued

I was recently given amoxicillin for a sore throat with tender lymph nodes in neck; doctor didn't know if it was a viral or bacterial infection, yet my throat pain substantially lessened within a day; however, three days later i developed mild nausea and loss of appetite; could this be a result of the antibiotic my doctor prescribed for me, or does this represent a distinct infection?

I'm 23, overweight, and not horribly active as far as exercise. Just don't have the time. I already have pretty bad back pain, which I know is from the weight and my chest, but there has been this one pain that boggles me.

It comes every few months, just for a few seconds here or there, and is on the left side of my right breast, near the bottom of it. It really doesn't hurt really bad, and I think it is only indigestion, but I'd figure I'd ask and see if anyone knows what it might be. I'd go see a doctor, but I only have college insurance. Trying to avoid it still.
