A lot of strange answers here.
Sort of, yes, although it is more than just a sense. When Christians eat Jesus (that is, take communion), we are connected to Him and to all of the Church through him. The Church has three divisions: militant, those alive on earth, expectant, those who've died in the hope of Christ's coming, and triumphant, which has yet to come. In communion (and any other Christian sacrament or ritual) we are all renewed as the Body of Christ, which spans time and draws us closest to the furthest event in Christian history 2000 years ago. Not necessarily non-linear, but certainly all time.

I hope that helped a bit, I think that's the sort of answer you were looking for.

God's peace.

The rituals are to evoke emotions which bind people to the superstition. It gives an air of authority to an otherwise meaningless belief.

What the heck do you mean by Christian "rituals" ? I am a Christian and I have no "rituals".

The most important christian ritual is the one where they pass the donation plate around. To answer your question the more they pass it around the better. We need more megachurches.
