Can you help me identify a heavenly body?

I saw a bright body in the sky tonight. It was in the western sky, slightly towards the north. It was a bit above the horizon, but not too high up in the sky either. It was the brightest star [or body] in the sky.

I'm in the Northern Hemisphere [New England]

Does anybody have any idea what I saw? Was it Saturn?

Question about vectors..?

For vectors, if it says that vec. w = <3,4> and the problem says vector w + <1,2> and it asks to graph it.. would you graph <3,4> first, then extend it with <1,2> or add <3,4> + <1,2> and make one long vector?

Can my supervisor ask me to clean the break room area if i'm not using it at all, Is that legal?

I work as a time-keeper keeping track of employees time in and off work. We just got a new Executive Head in our office ex-airforce and all, and she's stating she's putting her foot down on office employee cleaning the microwave and refregerator both of which I do not use or ever plan on using. Is it legal for someone to tell you to clean something you don't use at work if that was not mention as one of your job duties up front?I feel it's just like asking me to clean your house when I don't live there?
Can someone tell me is this legal? What rights do I have as an employee?
