If you mean

(15x + 2)/(x^2 + 6)

...then x can be anything. You will have undefined expressions when the denominator is 0. Since you're squaring x, you'll always get a positive number and you'll never be able to cancel the 6 out. Since your denominator will always be something other than 0, x can be anything.


...unless you're considering imaginary numbers. In that case, x can't equal i*sqrt(6)...
