Ok. Two Problems. Write balanced redox equations and determine both the cell potential and the number of electrons transferred for the spontaneous redox process that occurs when the following couples are connected.

What are the redox equations, cell potential, and electrons transferred?(for a and b )
a) Ni^2+/Ni + Pb^2+/Pb
b) H^1+/H2 + Al^3+/Al

This is the one that I did...
I was given Cl2/Cl^1- + Br2/Br^1- (as the redox couples)
The equation I made was: Cl2+2Br^1- -> 2Cl^1-+Br2
The cell potential was .27.
And I think electrons transferred was: 2.

What really annoys me is that the idiot parents called it "house rape". HOUSE RAPE???!!! Yeah, right. That's got to be the stupidest phrase I have ever heard. Trivialising a serious crime like rape like that is just utterly stupid, these crimes are nothing alike!!

Thanks for listening, I needed to let off steam there. Anyone else just think that 'house rape' is a ridiculous concept?

I used to be able to run a few programs at the same time without it dogging out but now i cant.I have cleaned out my hard drive,now i have over 40 gigs of free space.Thats over half of my total space.I have run system mechanic 7, ccleaner and adaware several times.Every thing checks out ok.Like i said,this thing used to seem pretty peppy with more than one program running.I would like to be able to run a radio or a widget or maybe "lime" or a spyware cleaner or something of that nature and still be able to do other things like browse the internet and download music or listen to stuff i have on itunes.Thanks for the help.

My English teacher in prep school told our class in 1947 that he knew Madame Shoumatoff, who was painting the president's portrait at the Little White House in Warm Springs, Ga., where FDR died, and that she had told him the president shot himself and that she had seen his body slumped over the desk with a pistol in his hand. I'm aware that Madame Shoumatoff's memoirs make no mention of this, but the teacher, now deceased, was a well-respected and honorable man and wouldn't have made this up. I don't expect anyone to accept my unverified hearsay account, but perhaps someone else can add pertinent information. I might add that if the ailing president did take his own life, this in no way should detract from his reputation as president and wartime leader.

hi... i am korean... i am reading "harry potter and the sorcerers stone".
l just want to ask some sentences that i can't understand in that book.
the sentences are- "all right, but i warned you, just remember what i said when you're on the train home tomorrow, you're so..."but what they were, they didnt find out.

what i cant understand is 'but what they were, they didint find out.'... especially.. 'what they were' .
i dont know how should i understand that in this sentence.

please give me the answer...
i just really want to speak english very well.

Fundies...where are your priorities? It is a lot easier to sit your fat *** behind a computer and type hateful rhetoric...than actually do something that would be productive....of course, that would require you to leave your oreo cookies at home, and do something selfless...where would the fun in that be?

She whines on the way to and from school. She has a whole routine now. She starts with whining about seeing grandma, grandpa, then cookies, then bananas, then dinner...here's what it sounds like:
C: Child
M: mom

C: Grandma!
M: honey, tomorrow you will see grandma
C: Grandpa! Grandma!
M: Tomorrow, not today. We have to go to school today but tomorrow i will take you.
C: banana!
M:When we get home I will give you a banana
C:banana.banana.banana. (louder and louder)
M: I dont have a banana in the car. i can give you one when we get home ok. Can you be a good girl until we get home?
C:yes. ok....banana!!!!
M: Honey, lets sing a song.
C: Cookie!

This is pretty much everyday. She is above average intelligence, she speaks very, very well. She is in a 3 y/o class because she is too advanced for the 2 y/o class. She is potty trained and very independent. I know this is not a developmental thing she is just being really stubborn. Ive tried ignoring her, distracting her?
