Im a guy in my early 50s and I can tell you that no guy I have ever met wants anything but a physical relationship with a woman in her 20s. No matter how sophicated a woman in her 20s may think she is she can't even come close to an older womans poise ,grace and subtle sexiness.
As for the older woman in her 40s or 50s maybe they love the guy and are willing to wait for his children to grow up. They may not be as shallow or selfish as those woman who look upon the fact that a man is trying to do right by his kids as a personality defect.

All you are seeing is people who wait to have kids later in life, it's just something happening more and more these days.
Do you really think that men want to date all these divorced women in their upper 40s and 50s that have young children (usually more than one)? Like I said there are more of them than of men in the same situation. Only men at that age can find dates easier. Wow there is that irony again.

They've gotten rid of 'old mommy' and now they're on the prowl looking for 'new mommy'. I've always felt that they are looking for someone younger who is moldable and dependent so that they can exert the kind of chauvinistic power that old mommy wouldn't have stood for. And you're right, most 40 and 50 year old women after having raised their own kids aren't trying to prattle around with someone else's brats who are going to futily contest "You're not my real mommy". Drama-o-rama, and that's why I don't date guys with kids, young or old!

Maybe one who values love, companionship and a good person more than money and an easy life?

Maybe they think that they are "all that" and are dreaming that a much younger girl will think that also. My kids are both over 20 and you are correct.. I do not want to start over raising someone elses kids. And they should not expect anyone to either.

AMEN! About the younger women. I hear you there. But, if you connect- it's a completely different story, but I sure as hell am not attracted to someone who could be my father... Not to mention, I want kids, but not kids who are half my age! Ya know what I'm saying?
