is it common for me to have discomfort while eating?

to be in love with a girl, but not want to date her? I've seen this phenomena before and I don't quite understand it. Does it mean he really does want to be with her but is wimping out over making it official, or that he never wants to be in a relationship? I need to write an essay about the decline of western civilization due to kids not using their brains. I would do it but I'm too busy listening to my ipod and playing games on my psp to do such a menial thing as use my brain and actually open a book.
