Corrupted? Corrupted by who or what?
There are over 24,000 manuscripts of the New Testament dating to within less than 200 hundred years after Christ's death. There are portions of the Gospel of John that date to within less than 100 years of His death -these portions and manuscripts correspond to within 98% of the text we have today. The discrepencies in textual variation do not alter any major Christian doctrine such as the Incarnation, the Death and Resurrection of Christ. The writers of the New Testament were Jews. Have you ever seen how a Jewish scribe treats the copying of Scripture? If they knowing made a "typo" that had to throw the whole scroll out and start again.

We also have writings from the Early Church Fathers from the 2nd and 3rd centuries that quote New Testament writings extensively.
Guess what? The Early Christians believed that Jesus was God, that He died on a cross and rose again just as Christians do today.

Just because your religion teaches that the Bible is corrupted doesn't make it so.

The early church had divisions among them, and St. Peter knew the some folks were perverting the scriptures (2Pet 3:16). The Antioch view believed the Bible literally and insisted on word-for-word exact copying. The Alexandrian view believed in altering the word to fit their beliefs.

In the 16th century, Erasmus gathered up all of the manuscripts that he could find, about 5,000 in all, and he discovered that about 97% were exact letter for letter copies. Not only were they word perfect, but every letter was in exactly the same place on the page in different copies. This is what is called the Received Text. The King James 1611 is the only English Bible in print that translates that text literally.

In 1881, two Oxford professors, Westcott and Hort, who were into the occult and believed in communism, took two Alexandrian texts, which didn't even agree with each other, and they picked and chose what they liked between the two of them, and cut the parts they didn't like. This is the corrupted text from which all the modern "easy-to-read" bibles are translated from.

God promised to preserve his exact words, according to Psalm 12:6-7. If that is true, then let's have it. The original manuscripts are long gone. If your church believes that only the original manuscripts are the pure words of God, then leave. They haven't got the words of God.

I was originally saved with an NIV. I used the NIV for 18 years and finally threw it out. I am convinced that you'll find the preserved and infallible words of God in the King James 1611. Most Bible-Believing Independent Baptist Churches hold to that doctrine.

What does that mean...
The Bible has not been currupted?

The Bible was inspired by God.
Bible is 66 books written by 40 inspired different authors over thousands of years.
1000's of Men and women died for this book would be persevered for the future.
There are 1000’s of prophesy throughout the Bible and more than 90% have already been fulfilled. Every verse is expressing Gods prophecy and plan for the world and his people, the Jews. The Bible is the most historical book from that time in print.
It also has 1000,000,000s of copies maybe even more.
It is the oldest book that is still widely printed today.
The Bible never contradicts its self and it is in sync with history.
No one can say the Bible lacks detail. Many of the things God said to isreal in the Bible as
We now know as basic scientific procurers, knowledge, and cleanliness measures.
The Bible is backed 100% by other historical accounts.

I believe evEry word was PLACED BY DESIGN!

First of all, there is alot of stuff in the Bible. Some of it is history, some wise advice, some God's laws, some poetry, some parable.
Second, the Bible is merely written words. True, what have was written by men inspired by God, but also true that even people who believe in the Bible disagree over huge sections of it. If it were "perfect", I'd think it would have the same message for every sincere reader.
The Bible is the word of God...small "w"...entrusted to men.
Jesus is the Word of God....the Logos. He is God come down to us in human flesh.
Sometimes people get the word and the Word confused.

Far and away most chritians have never read the bible. Why bother? It just takes effort, for little gain. It is much easier to read poor quality translations and pretend that magically they know what "god" wants. Of course, with that attitude, they need someone else to explain to them what they are reading, as the translations are such poor quality that they are not self explanatory. Some religious types are so clueless that they think that the bible was written in English. It would be quite a funny joke if it were not true.

My Bible has not been corrupted. Are we to believe it is because you say so?

Also, the international language of the time of Christ was Greek, not Aramaic. Remember that guy named Alexander who conquered the world. It was no accident the New Testament was written in Greek.

Nice try

Give precise evidence please .. not vague claims. Otherwise you are no better than Dan Brown.

Actually I know its Gods Word, delivered as God wants it, since belief in Jesus as Saviour and Lord (the gospel message) does lead to being forgiven, reconciled with God, and receiving the Holy Spirit. In particular the giving of the Holy Spirit validates the truth of the message ... God won't give Him to believers of other religions, as He is given to honour Jesus.

"When anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty." 2 Corinthians 3:17

The Bible never makes claim that it is perfect. We have a lot of evidence to suggest that it is perfect. Jesus confirmed the Old Testament and promised the New Testament.: )

I do not believe that the Bible is corrupted. : )

The only "corruption" is the assertion by Mohammed when he was busily inventing islam and allah. The ONLY way that Mohammed could push his "holy" books was to attempt to soil and discredit the TRUE Holy Books.

It has never been corrupted. It has been preserved over the millennia. Give me a concrete reason why it has been corrupted. Show me your resource and give me a concrete evidence that it has. If you can't then, your words are nothing but mumblings of an ignorant fool..
