I went to get a quick pedicure at a local shop yesterday. I brought my son who sat quietly in his stroller and ate crackers. One of the employees had her 2 daughters there, approximate ages 12 and 6-7. The older girl was a MONSTER. She was walking around belching in the faces of her sister and the other employees, hitting her sister, yelling racial and gay slurs at someone walking past the shop and so much more. Her mother completely ignored her, while some of the other employees tried to get the girl to sit down. The final straw was when she got into a shoving match with her little sister, kicked over my purse and screamed the word "*****" at her 7 year old sister. I told her she needed to find someplace to sit down and to be nicer to her sister. She replied, "I don't feel like sitting down and I like being mean to my sister. She's a *****." She then commanded her sister to finish off what was left of the older girl's chips, telling her if she didn't she was going to punch her in the face. It was sick. The younger girl just stood there and took it, never once crying or even asking her sister to stop. She barely even looked up. I feel so bad for her. It's a good salon, one of the few good ones within a quick driving distance to me, but I really don't want to go back if this woman is going to let her child be abusive and rude. All the employees were aware of what was going on, and tried to intervene, it just wasn't working. What should I have done?

Hey, My girlfriend and I have been dating now for a year and a half straight. We fell in love with one another back in junior high school. We were friends for about 4 years before we actually started dating. She really wants to get in ingaged and then wait a year then get married but im affraid of getting married to young and early. FYI - im turning 19 in a month and shes turning 18 in 2 months do you think that is to young to get married and/or if we do, do yall think we can make it.

I'm very grateful that some friends from church are throwing me a baby shower. They have been talking about throwing this shower for about 3 months now. A few weeks ago one of them calls and says that the shower will be March 31, she sent the invites out in a few days and hardly no one is able to make it because of this short notice. I feel hurt because I've always envisioned my baby shower gaving over 10 people at it! My mom works night and needs to sleep and probably cant make it herself, and these are her friends. The party is being thrown in another city 30-45 minutes away and I have family coming in from out of town. Only my husbands sister is going to be able to make it, no one else from his family. This isnt like them to do something on a whim like this. Ugh! What should I do?

Which places serving alchohol expect much more out of employees than mixing drinks and customer service?
Which types of places or establishments in general serving alchohol require the most other work besides mixing drinks and serving them...such as mopping, wiping seats, making orange juice for three hours, cooking etc... Bars, restaurants, pubs, hotels, lounges, dance clubs, etc ? What are some more of these "other' duties ? Anyone ever been asked to do something way different than bartening such as clean a bathroom etc??? where was this?

we all have the mental capabilities within our brain that allows us to overcome any obstacle that our human bodies may experience, either physical or mental? And that all it takes is something to trigger those mechanisms, such as a realization, or a strong willpower, or simply someone's constant encouragement, to switch it on? Do you beleive that anything is possible with the power of our minds, and our true human capabilities, when you stop letting outside influences affect your beleif in yourself?
