we all have the mental capabilities within our brain that allows us to overcome any obstacle that our human bodies may experience, either physical or mental? And that all it takes is something to trigger those mechanisms, such as a realization, or a strong willpower, or simply someone's constant encouragement, to switch it on? Do you beleive that anything is possible with the power of our minds, and our true human capabilities, when you stop letting outside influences affect your beleif in yourself?

Other good sources that have led to my awareness of this are "Conversations With God", by Neale Donald Walsch. Deepak Chopra, Anthony Robbins, and Dan Millman. Also study in NLP, and EFT. Funny how people all over the world have individually found these things out! They all deal with the same principles.

I've never heard of anyone being able to grow taller by using their mental powers, I was talking more about physical and mental illnesses, and people being able to perform amazing feats that were thought not to be humanly possible. If anyone has a story about being able to change their physical appearance by thought, I'd like to hear it! I'm still learning new things about this all the time.

I take that back, I've heard of people being able to change their eye color on demand, so I suppose it's possible!

I believe the answers to everything are locked away in the human brain. Example: Whom ever first looked at a cow and thought "I bet I could milk that!" He/She already knew the answer because it was already implanted on the brain to begin with. It just took a llittle something to get it processed into reality.
We humans only use about 10% of our brains capabilities. Einstein, Hawking, and Tesla however, use a little more. How do they do this? I wish I knew. Someone someday will break that code and the world will be changed forever.
Cheers!

The power of the mind may be more than we expect in general, but just thinking something doesn't necessarily make it happen. With emotional blockages time and focused effort might alleviate some obstacles while physical defects could be countered with a positive outlook, although probably not magically cured with mental power. I'm not saying this is impossible, just I lack the knowledge or tools to make this happen. If indeed this is possible, to manipulate the physical with the mental, then I would be the first in line to find out how.

Simple test - add one full inch to your height just by willing yourself to grow..
It is true that most people have more ability and more capabilities than they think. For example, there have been times when a parent has lifted a seemingly impossible load off the ground (like the back end of a saloon car) in order to free their child.
But there are limits to what the human brain and body are capable of, and we cannot overcome them just by thinking positive thoughts.
What is certainly true is that you should think twice before allowing someone else to tell you what your limits are.
A university professor of mathematics "proved" beyond all doubt that powered flight was impossible - about three weeks before the Wright Brothers carried out their first successful flight.

Oh YES...how true! The power of positive thinking and the thoughts in ones mind can make or break a person, heal or make them ill.
Yes, definitely, I believe we all have the power, unfortunately not many know how to tap into this power let alone believe it exists.
