don't you think that when engaging a discussion about your beliefs with atheists or others that you should leave out the trite cliches such as "Know Jesus, know peace- No Jesus, no peace? Before I became a believer I heard the same expressions and I thought to myself," If I believe on this basis, does this mean this is all there is to it? No rational, logical understanding of who I'm trying to believe in- just in case I actually have to one day explain this to someone else?" I'm not criticizing you, but some of the comments I've read on this post are really lacking in persuasion. If I were at the crossroads trying to decide which way to go after reading some of the "positions" taken, very little would offer me compelling and sufficient reason to follow your lead. Reading a book like the Bible requires prayerful and logical insight to soundly crush an adversary's hateful speech aimed at belittling and discrediting who and what you believe in. Agree? yes? no? maybe?
