Why do Christians believe that God would use Evolution as a way to create? God rested; Evolution is ongoing. Not only is theistic evolution a contradiction in terms--like the phrase "flaming snowflakes"--but in the words of the Nobel prize winning evolutionist Jacques Monod: "Natural selection is the blindest, and most cruel way of evolving new species... The struggle for life and elimination of the weakest is a horrible process, against which our whole modern ethic revolts... I am surprised that a Christian would defend the idea that this is the process which God more or less set up inorder to have evolution." Also, in Herbrew, when it says "And the Morning and the evening were the 1st, 2nd,3rd... day",it is talking is talking about a real 24-hour period. When there is no ordinal in front of the word "day", then it can mean a week, month, year... whatever. God doesn't have 2 painfully plod thru millions of mistakes, misfits, and mutations inorder to have fellowship with humans

this is a serious question:
if hindus believe in cows being sacred (if it's not hindus please correct me) then what would happen if your family was starving and all the food you had was a cow, would you eat it? what would happen if you did? i'm just curious to find out how far people would take their faith.

Dang, this'll cost me 5 points, but, I have to find out!?

Is it true that in the hadith of Mohammad, where he speaks about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, that :

1] Jesus will renounce that He is the Son of God?
2] He'll recite the shahadah?[In other words, convert to Islam]??
3] He'll renounce Christianity???
4] He'll renounce that He was a Prophet and announce that Mohammad is the True Prophet and His Master?????

I'd read this hadith, long ago and did not remember seeing anything remotely like this there!?

Does anyone have the reference to the original hadith, please?

Why are Muslims saying things like this here?

I used to think that Mohammad, despite all other things, was a great fan of Jesus!

Am I wrong?

Does Islam really denigerate the status of Isa, al Massihe, to a secondary position, under Mohammad?

I really need to know the Truth!

I tried asking this before and it got rejected for some reason, so let me try to phrase this in a vague way. Hopefully you'll know what I'm trying to ask. I read an article some years ago about the fact that women aren't the only ones who fake, uh, satisfaction. I always thought that if something "came out" it meant that satisfaction had been achieved. my roomate bought a Linksys router and when our computers are hooked up to it the internet cuts out sometimes very frequently other times maybe 1 time an hour, sometimes itll go down then refresh itself other times i need to do a power cycle to reset it. after getting very sick of this my roomate went and bought a switch (person at Staples told him to) im not sure what the purpose of this "switch" is for but the internet still stops working at random times, when i plug the net directly into my computer its very fast and doesnt cut out. yet when hooked up to my roomates comp through the router the internet goes slower and is unreliable. what could the problem be?

I have just moved into a new house which has an alarm system that doesnt appear to work that well and I want to disconnect it. Does this have to be done by a professional or can i simply cut the wires? Im worried that cutting the wires will set off the alarm & I wont be able to stop it!
