a logic 4 was a late 1980's-1995ish UK intruder alarm panel - keyswitch operated made by ' Advanced Design Electronics Ltd known in the trade as ADE. Its a very old panel but lots of them still survive today. To disconnect it and make it dead you need to do the following in this EXACT order. place some ladders to the external bell. then go back indoors and open the one screw on the front right middle edge of the control panel, when the panel opens expect a noise from the panel, silence it by turning the key on and then off. isolate the mains electricity, then remove the standby battery terminals from the large stand alone black/grey battery sitting on the bottom of the control panel. if the system is working properly the outside bell should now sound, get up the ladders and lift the bell box lid by undoing the cover and snip the cables going to the sounder. there is a good chance the ouside battery in the bell is not working due to age so the system may just fall dead when you downpower the control panel anyway. Logic 4 was made in merseyside years ago. any problems.... email

RE:
Logic 4 Alarm Panel?
I have just moved into a new house which has an alarm system that doesnt appear to work that well and I want to disconnect it. Does this have to be done by a professional or can i simply cut the wires? Im worried that cutting the wires will set off the alarm & I wont be able to stop it!

I wouldn't go cutting wires. They may be usefull if you decide later to have a newer security system installed in your home. What you want to do is disconnect the power to it.
It looks like your system was made for the DIY market in the UK. I am from Canada so I haven't seen your brand or model 1st hand, but most alarm panels are of the same basic design.
What you want to do is disconnect the rechargeable battery that will be inside the main box as well as the main power comming from an external power transformer that is either a plug-in type or a wire-in type. Once those two things are disconnected the alarm panel will fall silent, & nothing further should happen.

I assume this is not a monitored system. Since you already have the system why not call a alarm co and have them fix the problem and then you can use the system? If you sale the house you will probably have to have it fixed anyway when the inspector checks out the house.
If you really don't want it, then unwire the bell or buzzer and then remove power from the main alarm panel. That should take care of it.

You may not want to cut any wires in case the system is ever reactivated or rebuilt.
The easiest way to disable the system is to remove AC power by unplugging the power and disconnecting the rechargeable battery inside the panel.
The system will shut down, no alarm calls will be made.

The best car in the world as far as power goes is a Buggatti. It takes 2 keys to unlock both v12 engines. How ever my favorite car is the Delorean because of how it looks, and the doors. The Delorean is the car off of back to the future. My dream car is Both of these cars combined. Meaning it would look something like a delorean and have the power of the buggatti. It would have a dark red cherry glitterish paint that changes color depending on how the light hits it. Leather seats and massagers built in along with heat warmers. Hide away license plates along with an oil spill utility. Mirrors with signals and tv screens in them. Also a TV screen in the dash and sterring wheel. IT will have 3 NOS buttons. Automatic parking and 2 cup holders with the ability to hold cups. IT will have a slide down tv pannel, so big rims, and state of the art tires. It would have the option of windows being tinted and navigation system. A/C in the car of course along with a computer that has a program on it that cna check the stability of the car including refuling, tire pressure, and temperature. It would have radio in the car both kinds of radios. IT would have CD player, DVD player, BLu ray player, and tape casset player. It would also have a console in the car. ALso, the rims will have lights in it and the high beam lights on the car will popup when neccessary. Not to mention it has primary high beams. It will have foam air bags. Also, it would have a key pad on the car door for securit. also, it will have a car alarm and bluetooth technology.

Why not just call the alarm company and tell them to disconnect the service? Then if you want to snip wires,it won't matter.Or you could leave it as a deterrent.
