OK, my parents house was in foreclosure, so I bought it and got a mortgage on it. After a year and a half, they bought it back from me. Part of my sale to them was a "gift of equity" of about $48,000, so that they could obtain a mortgage. Do I need to report this "gift of equity", and if so how? From what I've read, it appears I need to file a gift tax return, but (since this is my first gift, I'm well under the $2,000,000 lifetime limit) I won't need to pay any tax on this. Am I correct in my understanding of this?

Today..i clicked on one .pif file.I think that was a Boot Sector Virus.After that my escape button has stopped working & Pc has become very slow .Finally i took the decision to FORMAT my PC but during the FORMAT i am getting the prompt that "Press 'escape' to install a fresh copy of XP" again i become helpless. Does anybody know how i can open a bank account quickly. Im am due to get paid on Friday but i gave my partners bank details as i closed my account a couple of months ago and we just shared the same account in his name. then my work only told me today that i cannot use his bank details. Ihave been told that it takes at least 2 weeks to open an account but i need it by this Friday!! I cannot be paid by a cheaque so i really need an account by friday!!
Any suggestions please!!!

I had told her,girls shd not try arm wrestling...so the bet was the loser is a girl.Unbelievably,she defeated me.If i won,she had to do all my work (as a maid)for a month and she won,I had to do all her work.
Other terms were:
1) take suggessions on yahoo on the outfit,accessories,etc to be worn,preferably with links.
2)The winner chooses 3 best suggessions.Loser pays for the purchases.
3)Winner takes pics of the loser in those outfits and sends them to the person who suggeseted it.
I am sure she cheated and won.I dont know how she cheated,but she had to have or else she cant have won.
So shd I do what she says,or yell FOUL !!
She has agreed that if people say I need not do it, then am off the hook.But if they say I have to,then I have to do it.

That human beings would rape, pillage and murder if they are not restricted by a belief in a God? Can we not be decent human beings just for our own Karma? I asked a question about what the world would be like if there was no religion and people came back saying that all sorts of terrible deeds would be committed. I respect people and try to leave the world a slightly better place than I found it, where possible. I do this out of compassion for my fellow humans, I believe we are One race - The human race. All of us flowers that need nurturing in order to bloom, not out of fear of any after life, or guidence from any organised religion.

I was wondering why we don’t use this like plants to produce food and power for ourselves. Can we not figure out how to do it, is the payoff not big enough (ROI) or what? Why can’t we use it in nanotechnology to power the micro bio motors?

Perhaps that is 2 questions but I am more interested in why we do or don’t use this as it seems to be the way to go since it seems like the energy production of choice in nature.

I live in upstate New York and all I have heard is that I have to be fired to collect. I work in a pretty hostile enviroment right now, the owners are getting divorced, I was just passed over for a raise and the new girl got salary, about 20k more. This is a restaurant, banquet house that opened last June, and I have been here since July. I have worked my butt off, wearing many hats and have quite a few people who will vouch for all the work I have done for this place. What can I do? I hurt so bad for being used one more time. I am the office administrator and incharge of personnel and payroll. I signed a confidentiallity agreement. Is that going to mess me up?

i met my best friend's fiance's brother about a week ago and we get on really well. after we first met he was asking his brother and my friend for my number but they wouldn't give them it cos Lee (his brother) says that he's hurt every girl he's gone out with and that he's bound to cheat on me if we got together. His mum was saying all this too and told me not to give him my number. But I did anyway, I can take care of myself and i tend not to get too attached anyway.
