Iraq was no threat to us before 2003. Some of the elements are NOW a threat to our troops, because the Iraqis want to be free of imperialistic rule.

Our national security was threatened by Bin Laden....of course, Bush doesn't want to go after him.

The philsophy is that by fighting terrorists on their own land we will not be forced to deal with their attacks here.

Think of it as preventitive national security. If we would have fought the 9/11 terrorists in Iraq they never would have made it over here to kill a bunch of us.

That is the philosphy, I am not sure that it makes a whole lot of sense because we have a open border and anyone could easily get here to attack us if they wanted to.
