If you owe a credit card company £4,000 and you write to them and offer them a settlement amount of £1568 and ask them to accept this as full and final payment of the amount outstanding and write off the remaining, is this usually accepted? Does anyone know anything about this and how it works? Anyone out there work for a bank who actions this kind of thing? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ok, I've been a huge fan of this show since the beginning, but even I am starting to get turned off by this show. It would be better if you actually start seeing some connections to things. But so many things on this show are introduced, and then dropped as if they never existed. For instance, what was the deal with Desmond's girlfriend in the last scene of last season where they got a signal from the island? What about this black smoke? What about the numbers that Hurly was so obsessed with last year? Even the critics of the show have said if they don't start giving some answers, or making better connections to things, they are going to really start turning off fans....and I'm starting to be one of them. What does everyone else who watches the show think?

Imagine we have a healthy, adult human on an operating table sedated just enough to nullify the pain, and surgeons set about removing the subject's internal organs one at a time with precise medical operation; how long could the subject survive (eg, be coherent, for example be able to talk or tap out signals with their fingers).

Surely the subject would only need a heart and lungs to do this, although as soon as they had to eat or drink they would die?

Silly question I know, but I have always wondered...I'm not very educated when it comes to Biology!

Given the only marginally beneficial and effective thing that Republicans have been able to offer to their voters are tax cuts, I ask you the following question, dear republicans: How come so many people with annual incomes below of the national average still vote republican and brag about their party's tax slashing policy when they know that in the end all their tax rollback can buy them is a new couch where they can sit and watch Nascar? Could it be that Republican party voter base is composed by only the the upper class and the sheerly ignorant lower class?

I am seriously considering a move from Paxil CR (12.5 mg) to regular release Paxil (not sure which mg...whichever is the least). My insurance (Aetna) covers so little of this drug that I pay a tremendous amount each month. And regular release can be purchased at Sam's Club via their $4 Prescription Drug plan. That works.

My question is for anyone who has taken both. Is there that much of a difference between the two drugs? I know HOW they are different...I just do not know how it manifests itself on a day-to-day basis.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I've been with my girlfriend for about 3 months now. we were good friends first. she has a lot of guy friends. now granted I do know that she gets along with guys better than girls but she also is a ig flirt too. that's one of the things that I love about her is that she doesn't really hold back. shes very open and doesn't embarrass. before we were together I could talk to her about other girls and relationships without any open objection. same with her. now that we are together I feel uncomfortable talking about her past relationships. she has a few friends that she values very much. considers them to be invaluable...guys that would do anything for her and would always be there for her. these guy hve their own relationships that she says they are very happy with and that I don't have anything to worry about. I have yet to meet 2 of these friends and they are both guys that she has had relationships with in the past(long time ago..5 yrs and approx. 10 yrs) there are also guys that she has worked with before or known from when she was a kid that she talks to periodically that I don't know or know much about. I'm very serious about this woman. I really want to have a great relationship with her. this is our only problem. I am open to meeting these friends because I want to be part of this aspect of her life and hopefully resolve
my jealousy problem. also should we b maintaining our own individuality to the point where there are conversations with friends of the opposite sex that we don't mention to each other? should we be telling each other about these emails or phone calls? she has basically taken care of herself since she was very young because of an abusive upbringing and prides herself on being her own person and taking care of herself. also she feels like we should both maintain our own lives as well as our life together. I don't have any friends that are girls. I have made her my whole world so to speak. she is not comfortable with doing exactly the same although she has tried it seems. I know that she loves me but I can't help but feel insecure because because of these friends. maybe I will feel differently after I know them. please help..its killing our relationship
