I had a nasty squeal coming from my brakes whenever I slowly braked. So I took my car to the shop about 3 weeks ago and the mechanic said the rotors needed to be cut because I had cheap pads on (bought my car used). So he cut the rotor and put new pads on.

Couple days later I started hearing a squealing again. Not as bad as before but its was back again. Any idea why? Well, its been 3-4 weeks since I had the job done and I hear squealing. Seems worse when I just start driving and improves with a little time. Maybe its cause they are new and need to adjust? (I dont really drive my car too much, could be why its been 3 weeks) thx for any help.

We're both women. I'm 28, she is 33. I have dated women in the past, fairly experienced. I was on my second date with this awesome girl. I am so attracted to her. The only problem is that when she is around my whole body feels warm, there is a weird sensation from my head to toe, my stomach is in knots, my heart beats so fast.
Is this healthy? This is a serious question. I have never felt this way before.
When we had dinner, we had great conversation, laughed, talked etc... but after we gave each other a hug and goodnight and all... I came home feeling like my body just went through a serious work out.
Can a person really do this to another without even touching them?

People keep trying to compare this to Vietnam. Where are the protests, where is ht music, where is the political and social upheaval from the 60's?

There is no Hendrix, no CSNY, no Joplin... The 60s gave us great music and all they can come up with now is Kanye West "Bush don't care about black people".

I know you shouldn't put chicken on the counter to defrost ... does anyone know how I can get a package of chicken breast to defrost? I put it in the frig yesterday and it still a bit frozen. The defrost on my micowave doesn't work :(

The problem does not happen every time I drive the van, never know when it will act up. If I let it sit for awhile, it starts up again.
This has happened at the service center but they are still unable to find anything with diagnostics.

This girl at work is a freshman, and im a sophmore, we go to differrent schools. i asked her to my school dance and she said okay but at the last minute said no because she didnt relize her dance was the same night. i gave her a rose and told her i liked her and would like to get to know her better. She said yah and that she really was looking forward to the dance with me, but wanted to go to hers, Do not know why she didnt invite me to hers but whatever. this was three weeks ago. This weekend a girl my friend from school, said her grandparents asked about me. I guess the girl from works mom workes for her grandparents and asked what i was like. My friend from school said i was really nice. i found out they asked my friends mom and she said that i was trustworthy and would trust me to go anywhere with my friend from school. The girl from work is really quite and doent talk much to me unless i say something first. does the person from work like me or not and what does her shyness mean?

My poor kitty keeps meowing and gently gnawing on things like my knuckle and the edges of chairs. He seems really calm, but he meows when he can't find anything to chew! Is this teething (I've never had a cat before, sorry) and what can I do to help him?

I'm just trying to understand how we made the jump between the Great Depression and the New American Internationalism of the 1940s. Can anyone help me make connections? Was it to do with a rush of optimism brought on by the New Deal? Or, maybe as a whole America's sentiment changed after going through such hard times. Just trying to get a grasp on that bit of history. Thanks everyone :o).
