This girl at work is a freshman, and im a sophmore, we go to differrent schools. i asked her to my school dance and she said okay but at the last minute said no because she didnt relize her dance was the same night. i gave her a rose and told her i liked her and would like to get to know her better. She said yah and that she really was looking forward to the dance with me, but wanted to go to hers, Do not know why she didnt invite me to hers but whatever. this was three weeks ago. This weekend a girl my friend from school, said her grandparents asked about me. I guess the girl from works mom workes for her grandparents and asked what i was like. My friend from school said i was really nice. i found out they asked my friends mom and she said that i was trustworthy and would trust me to go anywhere with my friend from school. The girl from work is really quite and doent talk much to me unless i say something first. does the person from work like me or not and what does her shyness mean?

She may have already accepted an invitation to the dance at her school and felt obligated to keep it or some schools require the student to obtain permission to bring someone who is not a student at that school to a school dance and there was not sufficient time to get it approved.
She may just be the quiet type and not one to open a conversation. She evidently likes you and may be a little bit shy because she is a little bit in awe of you since you are a little bit older.

Listen, the girl is doing her thing. It's the same thing all females do. It's not that she's shy, she's being cautious. believe me, all girls do the background check first. The best thing to do is be persistant and don't think about all the behind the back stuff. When you get older you'll realize this is just something we men have to deal with.

not every girl is shy. it's the loud ones you have to worry about. shy could mean that she likes you and doesn't know how to tell you or it could mean that she just doesn't know how to talk to guys. that was me in high school. eventually if you keep talking to her, she will get more comfortable and start talking to you more. Good Luck.

Hmmm from a view of a gal point, i think that she might be shy and does not express herself well and waiting for you to take action first... Well, you could try to date her out again... perhap this is your best chance??? Good luck to u... :)

It depends on how she answers you. If she does it kinda quietly then she likes you. If she seems bored or distracted while you talk to her, then that's a good sign she doesn't want anything to do with you.

not all girls are shy. the ones that you talk to are.
the ones that are insecure are shy. most girls are confident about themselves and don't let men bring them down.
