Before you all jump on my head, I DON'T see God that way, and I didn't think anyone else over the age of 5 did either... but recently, I have just met a lot of otherwise sensible who think of God in this way.

What is that about? I thought it was a metaphor... I've always thought that.

On many dried bean packets, the instructions are something like:
soak for 8 hours
boil vigourously for 10 minutes
simmer for 30 minutes

Why the boil vigourously for 10 minutes? The water is the same temperature as if you were to simmer it instead

Four years together, a 3 year old daughter together, engaged and yet he still goes thru my cellphone, checks the wonderful (sarcasim) myspace to see if there are guys on my friends list, doesnt like me going to my grandmothers and if i do go i have to call him on my way over (she lives like five doors down mind you), i feel trapped, annoyed, and to be honest like i am nothing. It is literally pushing me to the end of my rope, I am human yet i am treated like i have no say so or control. and NO i have never cheated on him or given him a reason to act this way...any advice? oh and i do not go thru his phone or check his myspace cuz i dont care, i trust him...help.

I do not want to be a Sergeant. I do not want to be a Squad Leader, a Platoon Sergeant, an NCO of any kind. I have nothing against NCO's, but I simply feel that if I am going to have the responsibility of others, I might as well be a commissioned officer, get paid properly and get saluted and have better resume' material when I get out. I see 20 year and on occassion 30 year guys calling 22 year old 2nd LT's Sir and Mam, and it just looks peculiar to me. I'd rather be an E4 for the duration than to be an NCO with the extra responsibility and lesser pay. U.S. Army. Can I refuse to be promoted? What will happen if I do?

I am trying to view foodtv.com videos with this software and it seems to be very slow and buffering alot and I don't have any other software or windows open. Why is this? How can I fix this? If I cannot fix it what other software would be great and not buffer or not buffer as much? Thanks.
