I am trying to view foodtv.com videos with this software and it seems to be very slow and buffering alot and I don't have any other software or windows open. Why is this? How can I fix this? If I cannot fix it what other software would be great and not buffer or not buffer as much? Thanks.

This is may be due to your slow Internet conection. And note that it does not require Flash Palyer bcoz it not an Flash Web site.

Flash has the ability down save data to the local drive, you can adjust that value using the Flash Manager. If you save no data to the local drive, there is no buffering. Your data stream will be dependent on your connection speed. If you adjust that setting to a higher value, say 10 mb or higher, the initial start up will be slower but that should get rid of the slowness and constant buffering. My guess is you have it set to zero. You can go to Adobe website and under the Flash Player section, you'll see some links about adjusting the values for the player. http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html
Look for the Gobal Storage Settings and adjust upwards.
