I can't think of a single example. Because every Christian has been a good person and done good things, Christianity must be true.

Adolf Hitler wasn't a true Christian. He didn't follow Christ's teachings.

I agree 1000% with ccc4jesus. He said: "A true born again Christian will not murder, or steal, etc. because they know its wrong, and because they KNOW God who says its wrong." So, just like I said, no true Christian ever has or ever will do anything wrong. They might make mistakes, because no one's perfect. But they wouldn't do something wrong, because they know God doesn't want them to! That's why Hitler and most other so-called "Christians" can't be Christians, even if they think they are: they do things that I know are wrong (because God told me so).

So, my point stands. I'm still waiting for examples! Stumped, eh, atheists?

Slave-owners and Crusaders weren't true Christians, because they didn't truly follow the Bible. The Bible specifically, explicitly, and directly condemns slavery and warfare, when it says: "love thy neighbor as thyself". Since you wouldn't enslave or commit war on yourself, obviously you shouldn't enslave or wage war on anyone else, per the Bible! So, ipso facto, no true Christian has ever waged war or been involved in slavery.

This question is so puzzling that for a second I honestly thought the button I pressed to get here said "Answer this stupid question." Ha! Nothing personal.

But seriously... your question has an "if" part that comes from who-knows-where. (Who says Christianity is wrong? And wrong how?)... and a "then" part which is not only highly questionable on its own (no true Christian has ever done anything wrong) but is a non sequitur (a statement which doesn't follow logically from the first).

{nervous laughter and speaking very slowly and cautiously}... You aren't seriously claiming to have known all true Christians, AND to have been aware of all their actions through time, are you?? {more nervous laughter hoping for a rational reply} And then to say not one has ever done anything rude, cruel, hurtful, deceitful, aggressive, illegal, malicious, vengeful, selfishly, or out of hatred?

Without a doubt I could find hundreds of examples of criminals and others who have done wrong by almost any measure, who called themselves Christian. Of course you could always say they weren't "true" Christians. But if so, good luck finding one, outside of Christ, himself.

Further, for the sake of argument, let's say every Christian *has* been a good person and done nothing but good things. It's another non sequitur to say Christianity must therefore be true! What *about* Christianity does that "prove" true?? And how in the hell -- or in heaven's name -- do you figure?

You've dazzled me with illogic. You really seem to be living in a dream, my friend.

Well in all honesty, I do plenty wrong all the time and I am a born again Christian. If we did nothing wrong, we would be perfect and if we were perfect, then we would not be living!

But I hear what you are saying, and I can answer as such:

There are 2 types of Christians - those who have been brought up Christian or those who merely go to church on a Sunday but have not had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and do not KNOW God. These give Christianity a bad name because they call themselves Christians but do not serve the Lord. Then there are those of us who are born again Christians and who the Lord slowly changes and delivers and begins to turn us into what He wants us to be - an image of Himself.

There are many, many people who have been brought up very very badly in God's name and they do not know God. If they did, they would not do the terrible things they do.

Born again Christians are those who try to be like Jesus who did no sin. We fail over and over again, but its the spirit of Jesus Christ who keeps us trying and who changes us. A true born again Christian will not murder, or steal, etc. because they know its wrong, and because they KNOW God who says its wrong.

Well. I'm a true Christian and I've done lots of wrong things. I've met A LOT of Christians who have done LOTS of wrong things. Everyone I KNOW has done lots of wrong things!!! The only diference between us and the rest of the people in the world is Christ! The only one. And I KNOW there are a lot of buddists, Hindus and atheists who are a lot better than most Christians!!! As I said the only difference is Christ! And if us Christians try and reach a life without sin and in communion with God it is NOT because we're better, it is because knowing what we know we simply HAVE TO!! And get this!!! We still FAIL sometimes! Even knowing what we know and believing the truths we believe we all still go and do lots of wrong things...

Wow... I dont even know where to start with this one. But I wouldnt really need to huh? Because if I came up with anything you would just say,"Oh well they must not of been a true christian!" Why is it that the supposedly most enlightened people around are the blindest.

Dude I have never ever once in my life met a christian that follows christs teachings. Hindu's come closer to christs teachings than a christian ever would.

i'm not out to disprove a dang element! What you pick to incorporate or reject... is on you. no remember what, you won't be able to return to the 1st something and say the way it got here approximately factually, that's what you're saying we gained't do.... so.... once you place expectancies of Christians, use an identical measuring usual on your self... simply by fact technically YOU and US are interior the top comparable boat, aside from that, you purely pick to stick to technological know-how as your God, greater or much less. version could be measured and shown. Many existence varieties have tailored to atmosphere; there is not any question approximately that. yet so some distance as guy is going.. the chromosomes of primates and "early guy" do not experience as much as us.. why? simply by fact they seem to be a various species than us. until they hit upon a conclusive transitional fossil.. PROVING we developed from a primate... ( which will by no potential ensue) i'm not procuring it. i think of your declare that it somewhat is how humanity got here approximately is stupid without help, and whilst a non Christian did not have self assurance it. Have an dazzling day.

Are you trying to legitimize Christianity? "Good" is a relative term. There are certainly people who have called themselves "Christian" who have done bad things. Even "good" Christians screw up and do bad things every now and then. Look at St. Peter when he denied Christ 3 times or when he sliced the dude's ear off in the garden. Both were wrong, yet he was still a "good" Christian. Not sure I answered your question though...

Adolf Hittler was an athiest not a christian regardless.
All people, regardless of religion, are capable of sinning.
And most do.
much of the point of christs teachings were that those sins should be admitted and then could be forgiven by god, and god alone.
For who can judge what is in our hearts and souls but he/she who created us.
As for Christianity being somehow perfect.
spannish inquisition, witch trials, the 30 year war, well the dark ages in general.
That and the good old paedophile scandles
And the involvement of various churches in the abuse of native people in colonised lands.

Most of these people BELIEVED they were a true christian.

But yes if someone truly follows the path God has given them they are likely to become very good people.
But free from sin?
i personally do not think it is possible

True Christians do make mistakes, and that is wrong, however, we know that we can go to the altar and pray to Jesus showing that we are repentant and He will forgive us. This does not give us carte blanche to go and sin again, it just means that when we DO sin, we feel the shame and the pain that comes from abusing the teachings that Jesus gave us through His holy inspiration, in the bible.
However, nobody but Jesus can intercede with the Father, as is shown in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

I suppose Ted Haggard isnt a REAL Christian either, right?

This is a lost battle. Any example you are given, you will simply state that they arent true Christians and refuse that example. So, why should any of us bother?? I can play the same game - Stalin was not a true Atheist...therefore, Atheism cant be all that bad...

But Christians have done wrong! We are all sinners, which is why we needed Jesus to undergo the terrible suffering that he did to redeem us. Good character and conduct does not guarantee salvation either - it is the acknowledgment and belief in Jesus as our Saviour that counts the most.

However, I applaud your efforts at defending Christianity. For an excellent book written on this subject, I suggest C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity.
