mylar (or foil) balloons seem to float for longer than a week, while a latex balloon will only float for a day when filled with helium. This is because the metal coating on the balloon prevents the helium atoms from diffusing out. I was just wondering if spray painting a latex balloon with silver spray paint (containing aluminum powder usually) would have a similar effect and keep it a float longer? Would the oil from the spray can break the balloon? Thanks.

I love online contests, I compete in many and I win almost 1 every 3 days. I like the prizes (books, DVDs, cosmetics, gadgets and so on) but I like even more to see my name on the winners list. The problem is that these contests take a lot of time and got me into a routine it's hard to break out of. Any advice?

My boss accused me of some random things today like not using a particular type/color of clothing hangers, of not performing my job duties because I did not turn the heat up when I came into work today 65 degrees inside is too cold she says after telling me the week before that it had cost us $1000 to heat the store for the past 22 days. (I tried to explain to her that the air conditioning had been coming on the previous day when we touched it and it's been snowing here!) She stated that I simply wasn't doing what she had asked and told me that I needed to take a "Leave of absence" as she phrased it and then proceeded to take my keys away (store keys) and asked me to leave the premises immediately. She didn't indicate when or if I was to return or whether the "leave" will be paid or not. I assume NOT simply because we are a small company and don't have vacation/sick/or any Holidays paid ever. I think she is trying to avoid paying unemployment.can she force me to do this?wASHINgtoN

i've never been in a relationship and i want to be in one. i want to have my feelings returned by someone that i care for. it constantly tears at me because i feel like guys are incapable of truly liking me.

i share these feelings and others with my friends and even the guys i like. i dont like keeping things in when people ask "how has your day been?". i would rather say "it was bad" and go on about it than like and say "good!".

is sharing my feelings so openly to people good? im wondering if i should just keep all my feelings in and just lie to people so they dont have to hear of the saddness i feel inside.

if you did not know me personally, you wouldnt think i was so negative about things but no guy has ever liked me back enough to ask me out. i'm attractive and i like to stay in shape so im guessing its my personality turns guys off.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for a year. We have great chemistry and really enjoy each other while making love. The problem is that I always have to initiate it. She brags about how much fun we have, but yet she doesnt initiate. I have waited a week without initiating (about all I could stand) and havent gotten a response. Recently bought a new bike (Chineese import) and the dealers are handling all the registration bit for me. It's now gone two weeks and I still have no bike nore registration details from the DVLA. Please advice on lenght of time of process needed. I have since sighned a V5C document (i think that is what it was), was told that it was for the log book.

Exact detail on the process would be much appreaciated, as this might enable me to better understand the lenght of time. Thanks.
