Regardless of where you stand on the issue of the U.S. involvement in
Iraq , here's a sobering statistic:

There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths.
That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq .

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington

Mary Peace be upon her is the example of a righteous believer and a sincere follower of the guidance of God. Again we read about Mary:

Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said 'O Mary thou hast done a strange thing.
O sister of Aaron, thy father was not a wicked man nor was thy mother an unchaste woman'.
Then she pointed to him. They said, 'How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?'
He said, 'I am a servant of God. He has given me the book and made me a Prophet;
And He has made me blessed wheresoever I may be and has enjoined upon me Prayer and almsgiving so long as I live.
And He has made me dutiful towards my mother and He has not made me haughty and unblessed. (19:28-33)

These verses tell us the story of Mary when she went to her people carrying Jesus (peace be upon him). The word for carrying him means that Mary believed in Jesus (peace be upon him) and helped him in his mission. When her people told her that she has done a strange thing, she silently pointed to Jesus (peace be upon him) who started introducing his religion to them.
In the spiritual sense, Mary signifies a true believer and a sincere follower of a prophet of God, who is acting upon the guidance furnished by this prophet and who is preaching his religion to others.

The words carrying him means that she has embraced his religion and reflected it in her person. When she declared this to her people and preached her religion to them, they rejected it because it was strange and unknown to them. So she silently started introducing her faith.

She pointed to the truth by her behaviour and conduct, by her complete submission to Allah and her true devotion to His service.

She became a manifestation of the Unity of God.

The disbelievers could see the spiritual station to which she had attained. The fruits she achieved and gained proved the truth of her beliefs and the prophet she followed. She taught the people to follow the guidance of Allah through her actions which were in full compliance with the commandments and ordinances of her religion.

The verses explain to us the perfect way of preaching a religion. Mary signifies every sincere and true follower of a prophet of Allah whether this follower is a man or a woman. A female example is used because she is representing a person who reached this spiritual level through sincerely following the example of a prophet of Allah and though being a reflection of the prophet. Mary is also introduced as a mother to indicate that she represents the true believer who who has already attained to true submission to Allah and who has already gained his fruit. He was granted a new spiritual life and has established a strong relationship with God. He has now reached the stage of looking after his faith and protecting it and nourishing it. So he has spiritually reached the stage of motherhood of his religion.

This fact has been explained in the Quran:

Allah sets forth for those who disbelieve the example of the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two righteous servants of Ours, but they acted unfaithfully towards them. So they availed them naught against Allah, and it was said to them, `Enter the Fire, ye twain, along with those who enter.'
And Allah sets forth for those who believe the example of the wife of the wife of Pharaoh when she said, `My Lord! build for me a house with Thee in the Garden, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from the wrongdoing people;
And the example of Mary, the daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity - so We breathed there in of Our Spirit -and she fulfilled in her person the words of her Lord contained in His books and was one of the obedient. (66:11-13)

In these verse we can see three examples of three different states of the inner self of a human being. The wives of Noah (peace be upon him) and Lot (peace be upon him) represent the disbelievers who reject the truth and do not benefit from the companionship of a righteous man or a prophet of Allah. Their inner self is in a state which incites the soul to evil. The wife of Pharoah stands for those believers who, vthough passionately desiring and praying to get rid of sin, yet cannot fully dissociate themselves from evil influences, represented by Pharoah, and having arrived at the stage of the self-accusing soul, sometimes fail and falter. Mary represents those righteous servants of Allah, who have closed all avenues of sin and have made peace with Allah and as a result, they are blessed with Divine inspiration. They have reached the stage of the soul at rest.

Was Mary the example of a righteous believer and a sincere follower of the guidance of God?

there not gonna say, well we go straight ahead, do a left, then take your next right turn obviously. so howd they do it? plus what if the y wanted to travel to mars. how would they get there. navigate there?. plus when astronauts go to the moon do they have to travel above the earth. is the moon higher situated than the earth? so would they have to keep goin up, leave the earth and go higher? or is the moon below us or on the same level? so if they left earth the shuttle would be seen flying below the earth towards the moon? sensible professional answers please

For the last two weeks I have tried opening yahoo mail account and my systems virus warning goes off stating that a Trojan had tried to enter.

I had a brand new lap top that did not have the virus protection yet and with in hours it totally crashed. Thank God it was new, I was able to exchange it. The man at the store said they have attached trojans that open with an attachment and then every time you try to open yahoo. the trojan appears.

Is there a way to fix this? if not I am switching to hotmail...of course there is no preventing it from there either?

I was watching the news and heard how people practice on "turning their wishes into realit." A few people shared their experiences, and of course, these were good ones. As a believe in God, I know that God has our future planned even before our birth. What will happen will happen, and what will NOT happen will NOT happen. My question is, "Christians, do you actually believe in what these few persons shared? Do you think we can actually get what we wish for by quietly wishing for it in our heart?" Thanks a lot for sharing. Those who are NOT Christians are also welcome to share with me your viewpoints. :D

Over a year ago I got out of a really bad realtionship.. The relationship lated 12 long, hard years and we produced 2 beautiful kids, of which live with me and visit him.There was a lot of abuse involved and I am lucky to have had the support of my family through the separation.. I knew at he time he was seeing someone else and was happy to have him distracted to allow me to live freely.. well one month later she ends up pregnant.. she has now had his child, a baby girl.. no anomosity towards anyone, but how can i have been treated so badly for so long and he suddenly change his ways??? Has this happened to other people, where your ex becomes a man from a monster? Or is it possible his true colours have not yet shown? I'm interested to hear real life experiences, and appreciate your responses..

Is there a html code to have a web page open in a new tab?

In previous versions you could have a web page open in a new or same window with either a tagert of _top or _blank. But I would like to have coding so if someone had ie 7 it could open in a new tab. And the code should be able to tell or distingush between older versions so that it opens in a new window on older versions and in a new tab in IE 7.

well me and my ex broke up about a month agp and it got to the point where we would argue and go at it that i took a vacation away from her, i got back and i see that she tryed to call me. i called her and she was being all nice and everything and wanted us to be friends not to mention the fact she has a boyfriend. well later that day around seven in the night she called and i asked why she didn't call her boyfriend and her answer was he doesn't has anymore minutes on his phone, at that time im thinking why would she call me out all the friends she has.
