i got to a web site to download something like paint shop pro and it says "Download this torrent".

what does this mean?

Remember that downloading some torrents might be illegal, especially if they are cracked or you are using a keygen for cracking it, or blah blah blah (all the rest of the anti-pirating dogma). My experience has shown that a lot of the torrents are trial versions and ligitimate copies where you need to pay to continure using them. Not only that there are a lot of ligitimate files on there, as there is on any P2P network.

Simple, a torrent is basically an adress to the file. Its close to maybe 3 kilobytes and is used by torrent programs like uTorrent and whatnot as a part of a P2P network. Torrents make it possible for you to search the internet for them instead of the WHOLE entire P2P netowork for the file.

its illeagle and i do work for sony and comcast and i have busted peaple......so dont even think about it many have been cought...
