I have microsoft office word 2007. I can't get my homework off. Format is different, what can I do? Need homew

I need my homework, what can I do? I have the new Vista and Microsoft office word 2007. It's too new. I saved my homework on my laptop in order to print off at Delta College and the format is not compadible, I need help. Is there anything I can do?

Open your file in word 2007 and choose 'save as' from the menu. Then in the pull-down menu in the window you can choose from a variety of older word versions to save as.
