It the moment I've only heard poor things about Vista, that it tends to be a little buggy, that the functionality is limited because of bad compatability, etc. If it was actually workable with other systems then it wouldn't be so bad. That and it needs SO much memory. It would be best to wait until things settle down with it before switching over, it's kind of like buying a car, you never buy the first year of a model because it will have the most problems.

And yes it is hacked already. here in China I can buy a full, hacked version for about $3 and for another $.25 I can buy a keygen code generator that will trick the system (and microsoft) into thinking it's a genuine copy. Security is a funny thing, huh?

Disadvantages, high hardware overhead (512MB mem and high video mem requirement), iPod downloads inoperative, another revenue milestone on the MS/Intel roadmap. Advantages, allegedly better security (but rumoured to be hacked already).

I am having trouble with vista right now. If you don't have a way of getting your work off of it, I would wait until other computers elsewhere catches up to our computer software on our computers. I can't get my homework off my laptop I need help too!
