I love mountain biking... its therapeutic for me. Helps me forget about the world and only think about the ride.
The stumpjumper is a pretty nice ride. I've tried it and really didn't have any complaints. The FSR comp is good because of its weight and components. Great bike setup for doing trails. I wouldn't try freeride or downhill with it though.
I currently ride an 03 Giant AC with a Marzocchi 66 up front, Manitou 4-way in the back, singletrack rims with Marzocchi front hub and chris king rear hub. Shifters and cassette are XT's, Hayes 8 inch hydros front/rear.

I just love Specialized bikes for myself.
Hardtail: old Specialized Stumpjumper A1
Full: Custom '00 S-Works FSR
So far my S-Works is definitely my favorite. GT just didn't work for be due to chain slop on the uptake. Giant never seemed to fit my body size and neither did the Cannondales. I always wanted a Cannondale till I tried out a few and never got the geometry to quite fit. I've had the FSR now for three years and it's been absolutely fantastic.

Back in 2001 when Ellsworth only sold $2000+ frames, they made simple, single-pivot frames under the name Aeon for much less. In 2003, Ellsworth figured out that Aeon frames were selling so well that they put their own name back on them.
The frames were the Isis and the Joker, with 4" and 6" of travel, respectively. The Isis went to 5" of travel, got an air spring, and was renamed the Distance.
I have a 2001 Ellsworth/Aeon Isis frame, 2005 manitou Black Super forks, Hayes/WTB disc wheels, and full RaceFace/SRAM setup. Puts about 28 lbs on the scale.
My road bike is a 2003 custom Dean titanium El Diente frame, Campy Proton wheels, Chorus drivetrain with an FSA carbon compact crankset, Thomson seatpost, King headset and Deda cockpit. Just squeaks below 19 lb, and rides like a dream.
I used to make a lot more money, but I'm happier now.
I dream of building up a rigid steel MTB frame & fork with disc brakes, singlespeed crankset, and a 7-speed internal rear hub for the perfect commuter bike.
I also want a sweet cruiser, like the ones from Nirve or Electra. A light, steel hardtail mountain bike like an Indy Fab would also be sweet, but I only have a single-car garage...

I have a Cannondale F700 and a Barracuda hardtail. I would like to have an Italian MTB just for the heck of it like a Colnago or Cinelli (they do make those you know).
I've been trying to get Specialized FSR bikes on eBay but they always sell at a premium. Must be a great bike.
