I was wondering what people's thoughts are about organized religion vs. maintaining one's own religion in a private manner.
Due to my interest in Buddhism (related to my own religion of Hinduism) I checked out and joined a suitable religious organization for a year or two to learn more about it. The people were very nice and kept saying "chant this, you'll be happy and successful." I am glad that works for them, and I don't deny that it works. But I think some of them would have thought it strange if they knew that I only wanted to learn more about their religion, not follow a new set of prayers or practice to change my life. I know they mean well, but its sad to me to think that some of them think thats the "only/best method to success/happiness/fulfillment in life". (Yes, some of them have explicitly made this clear).
This close-mindedness I experienced turns me off from organized religions (I've also read rants about similar issues from other org.religions).

i am so annoyed Just started going out with my boyfriend as soon as we made things official hes stopped making an effort with me, 50% of the time he doesnt txt or ring. He used to do all the chasing now its me & i hate it. We were meant to see each other tonight and he cancelled. Last night i though we were going to do something but he didnt contact me so i went out with my friends. Feel like the relationship is going to end before its even started, i would hate it if things ended because i think we r good when we are together but when we r apart its like hes forgotten i exist. For spring break I'm going to Oregon to see my dad. I'm sooooo excited to go home and see my family. I will miss my mom in Florida don't get me wrong I <3 her too. But it will be in the 40's-60 degrees and anyways I'll be seeing a really good friend that I really really have a major crush on. I'm 13 and I don't know what to wear to impress him. I'll probably be playing in whaet fields so it needs to be play clothes like I can get muddy in. And then we might go into town so I need someting for that too. I might spend the night too. We'll (me, him, his brother and sister) probably sleep in the horse trailer so it needs to be something warm but what PJ's should I wear??? That was a lot

Hello- this is going to sound amature.. But I have recorded stuff in garage band and I still cant get it to sound equal enough. Garage band is a sort of crappy program- so does anyone know of any software that I can get that I can equalize the tracks in garage band with? At least so that some are louder and others are quieter- since I've done all I have can with the volume of those tracks respectivly in garage band already... Any suggestions? ive heard of airEQ but im not sure about it.. ANY HELP is needed thanks!

If so, do you write in it each night or just once a week or only occaisionally. ?
I find I tend to write in mine only when I am depressed or had a bad day. It gets it out of my system. I would like to write in it all the time but I often find that when Im happy I cant think of what to write or I just dont have the time as I am busy enjoying myself.
Is diary writing just a therapuetic exercise ?
Or is it a historical document for future generations like Anne Franks diary ?
